Would generously go three stars on everything other than Kross/Zayn and Asuka/Cargill who get two and a half. In an alternate universe Hikuleo debuted last year prior War Games and is a monster heel. I think Michael Cole’s botch trying to get his name out will sum up his run. I hope I’m wrong as I do love the big git At points the wrestling seemed to be in slow motion, but the show itself actually didn’t drag too much. It may be the heat getting to me but it felt like there was less advertising and bullshit between matches. Not AEW level where you haven’t even got time for a piss break but it was certainly an improvement Quote

Paid Members Supremo Posted June 30, 2025 Paid Members Posted June 30, 2025 (edited) They’ve had the crown since bringing the King of the Ring back but between Gunther and Cody I think everyone’s a bit smarter about it now. They hold the crown as if it’s a belt, so as to not look the whopper guys like Wade and Sheamus looked in the past. Their insistence on turning it into a King gimmick for the winners, with full costume, always ended up hurting guys rather than elevating them. The top lads know seem very smart to not going down that route. Won’t matter in the long run for Cody, though. Turning him heel in 2025 is a disaster waiting to happen. Just looking back through the results of the previous year and I’m guessing I was in a speed watching phase as I had no idea Lyra Valkyria was knocking about the main roster let alone contesting the final, didn’t realise Randy was a losing finalist and that Becky Lynch was on the card as it seemed like years she’d been off.
