So basically my sister would like to see matches she would have not seen before. She's been a WWE fan for a bit but is more an AEW viewer at the moment.

She wants to see more matches from different parts of history. Preferably I'd like to keep it around the 80's to now. She wants me to send her a random match every few days for her to watch on her downtime. So I'd love some help.

Any matches you'd really rate that you can also watch in a vacuum without too much of the backstory (depending). On the flip, this can also be a thread where we post a random match for us all too. Sorry if this thread might already exist, I know the YouTube thread exists but this would just be focusing on matches and any other websites that don't require subscriptions. Suggestions welcome as I'd rather get other options and opinions from a varied group of people than just me.

She's getting Mike Awesome/Masato Tanaka at Heat Wave 98 to start. Thanks for reading.

If you're going for the "smorgasbord" approach, I reckon after bumps n stunts you might try her on this. I can imagine an AEW fan of today might appreciate how this blew many of our minds as a first proper exposure to this type of match beyond short highlight videos.

This match is absolutely bonkers and won't be like much else she's likely to have seen. An intense and exciting fight between an old tough veteran and psychotic up and comer. As close to real as wrestling gets.

I literally nearly started this thead last week - other than I haven't got a sister. I even looked up the MOTD theme on the Spectrum game on YouTube for the opening post!

Expecting @wandshogun09 to post a Sid squash every day. Otherwise, we'll strip him of all his UKFF Awards.

Can't believe this wasn't a link to the Kriss Sprules match....

The Bret Hart vs Steve Austin ‘street fight’ on Raw from April 97 is always a safe bet. Never a dull moment and doesn’t outstay its welcome.

Part 1;

Part 2;

And while I’m here…

Oh go on then. Have a bit of Sidney murdering Lee Scott…

It’s not going to win any Match of the Year awards because of the length and isn’t any sort of rarity but this match will always be one of my favourites. Kurt Angle made Taz look like a monster and it’s just fast-paced fun throughout that I imagine probably fits the style of an AEW fan nowadays.

Delighted to have this thread as I’ll be checking out some of the stuff above.
