I only know her from really rooting for George the Animal Steele and that sitcom "Kate & Allie" with Jane Curtin that got shown on something like Paramount Comedy over here.

Folk music legend Sandra Kerr has passed, aged 84. Most people will know her for having written the Bagpuss theme, among many others for the BBC.

My childhood's taking a bit of a shoeing this week. RIP.

Sandra was great. She lived at the end of our street for a number of years when I was growing up, and she’d teach Northumbrian folk songs to classes at our school. Wonderful musician, lovely lady. Such a shame to hear this.

No love for big, pervy Tinto Brass?

To be honest, I thought he had already died, but he acually passed away yesterday at the age of 93.

He started out doing avant garde stuff in the sixties and early seventies before going all-in on erotic cinema as the decade wore on. Probably best known for directing the big-budget and very controversial Caligula (with Malcolm McDowell and Helen Mirren), which is infamous for its unsimulated orgy scenes. Brass ended up disowning the version of the film that was released at the time, though the director's cut was later put out.

Anyway, I've never been into his stuff, to be honest, but he was an interesting fella and certainly made his mark within the industry. Here's hoping there's some nice, firm tits and juicy arses wherever he is now.

RIP

I had also assumed he was already enjoying himself on another spiritual level.  I actually have a Tinto boxset somewhere.

You’re probably getting arrested tomorrow then.

Michael Locke aka Pancho from Dirty Sanchez has passed away at 47, it's amazing that show ever made it to TV with how far it went at times but I was a big fan when it first came out. There was even a new movie planned for next year.

Shocking news.  Met him a couple of times as he is related to a former acquaintance and he was a truly lovely chap.

I was lucky enough to have backstage (alright BaconFogg) for Reading for a years running, and when I say backstage, I wasn't stood at the side of the stage, but it's mostly a separate bar next to the main stage.

Anyway, one year Dirty Sanchez were doing their live show, which when you've had a skinful and some drugs was hilarious. Then I stood chatting at the backstage bar with Dainton, Dan and Pancho, and they were great company as I droned on about old skaters and I bought Pancho a couple of shots, and he nicked pretty much all my fags, but was a lovely dude.

That's really sad, I loved the early Sanchez stuff.
