Paid Members gmoney Posted November 17, 2024 Paid Members Posted November 17, 2024 Rick and Morty is a show that for me was completely killed by its hardcore fanbase. I'm very good at compartmentalising that usually (Chelsea fan for many years). I like the first couple of series a lot, had some superbly imaginative plots and fun gags, but it was completely ruined the more the idiotic superfans exposed themselves. It's tarnished forever, and I doubt I'll ever go back. Quote

Merzbow Posted November 17, 2024 Posted November 17, 2024 From what I'd heard from people who carried on watching it after I gave up that it even played up to a lot of the worst fans, too. But yeah, pretty much why I stopped watching was the odious culture that came from the show. Quote
The Gaffer Posted November 17, 2024 Posted November 17, 2024 Patrick Wilson. There's something uncanny about his face. I'm almost certain he silent destroyers really bad gas five minutes after everything he eats. Quote
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted November 17, 2024 Paid Members Posted November 17, 2024 I've never watched any Rick & Morty or even know anything about it. What is it about it that has attracted such a weird fanbase? Quote

Wideload90 Posted November 17, 2024 Posted November 17, 2024 Steph Mcgovern. Hasn't done anything wrong but can't stand her. Quote
Joe Blog Posted November 17, 2024 Posted November 17, 2024 James McAvoy. I rate him as an actor, he seems a perfectly nice chap but God do I hate him. Quote
wordsfromlee Posted November 17, 2024 Posted November 17, 2024 Robert Pattinson I've never seen anything he's ever been in and don't plan on it. There's just something about his face that - to me - screams entitled, smug cunt who thinks he's better than everyone else. I just hate the guy. I'm sure he's not, but I've already made up my mind and don't want to find out the truth. Quote
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted November 18, 2024 Paid Members Posted November 18, 2024 That's a shame. The Lighthouse is excellent and he's excellent in it. Quote
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted November 18, 2024 Paid Members Posted November 18, 2024 Pattinson's an excellent actor who, The Lighthouse aside most notably, has mostly been good in absolute shit. Quote
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted November 18, 2024 Paid Members Posted November 18, 2024 Acting aside, I love him for absolutely trolling the toxic comic book fans when he said in an interview that he couldn't be bothered to do any exercise in preparation to play Batman. Quote

I was intrigued by Cosmopolis and The Devil All The Time - would you say those are worth checking out? Quote
Merzbow Posted November 18, 2024 Posted November 18, 2024 (edited) High Life and Good Time are 100% worth watching in my opinion, he's great fun in The King which is painfully underappreciated, too. I think I actually like the majority of his films post Twilight. Edited November 18, 2024 by Merzbow Quote
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted November 18, 2024 Paid Members Posted November 18, 2024 The Devil All The Time is definitely not worth checking out. Quote
