Why would I want to put Somewhere Only We Know by Keane (or Lily Allen's cover) on that playlist?

Not a surprise at all.

Wish that last image had a time stamp, because Tiverton & Honiton is being split in two for the next election. Also, no way are the Tories winning back Wakefield so no tactical vote needed there at all anyhow.

Can't help but notice those are both seats that have had by-elections in the current Parliament, suggesting either those are the only constituencies Tanskii has heard of, or she thinks all her potential supporters weren't paying attention until about 3 years ago.

On top of all that, a 'swap my vote' scheme needn't require a huge amount of donations except, I suppose, whatever the hosting/running costs are for that website.

Their current assignments are “Britains kindest racist plumber” James Anderson AKA Depher CIC

The slow reveal of Depher to the public is wonderful to see, I hate that prick with a passion

Yeah, from the opening post. It’s been coming for a while and Scamderson knew it. Of course he’s blaming “Trolls” for mistakes he made, and of course his followers are still supporting him. It’s a shame these women who exposed him over the years didn’t get a mention in the article. The racist, ableist scumbag has been saying for a few weeks the BBC joined in the witch hunt against him as he deleted posts and social media. But his messiah complex got the better of him and he reactivated them, posting “Dephers Greatest Hits”.

I am delighted this has happened. Delighted.

Is it just safe to assume that anyone filming their acts of kindness whilst sucking their own cocks are blatant grifters? Discounting Mr Beast who carries more a Blank Check/Brewsters Millions energy than a YouTube do gooder.

I think that might be overly cynical.  I think there's just a lot of people who exists fully in that social media vaccum where the tree falling in the woods absolutely doesn't exist unless it's documented to the current zeitgest social media network (that they don't much perceive their own actions as happening to them unless they're broadcast it...)

Social media output tends to be a combination of presenting things that make you feel good and things that make others think you are good.  The isolated nature of making social media posts also tends to up certain cringe factors because you can't see the people you're talking to and how they're reacting to sanctimonious self fellating tone you're taking

Helping others feels good.  Helping others is seen as a good thing.  It's not exactly a huge leap to infer that plenty people who have social media brain rot and also help others might end up broadcasting the positive they do without some explicit scammey ulterior motive.

I suppose it’s important to determine the difference between actual criminals who are stealing peoples money and people who are just using a cause to build influencer points and then the people who copy that because their brains can only think in trends. They’re all wankers in my book but admittedly one is not the other.

Like with a lot of things, it's not what you do, it's the way that you do it.

I can understand people filming their own acts of compassion and kindness, if it's framed in such a way as to motivate others - very often, a big part of why people don't do more is that they feel alone and think "What's the point of me doing anything? It'd just be a waste of effort and wouldn't accomplish much". If they can see that others are already doing it, they might be more motivated to get started. In do-gooding terms, it's the equivalent of being the first to chuck a coin in the busker's hat.

But the way the aforementioned guy does it, it just screams "grifter".

I'm sure someone will point out something problematic with him, but I don't mind Jimmy and his antics, and I quite enjoy watching with the 11yo. His dog rescue video with Batista was genuinely lovely.

His chocolate is absolutely shit though.

Whenever I say anything remotely warm about someone (not on here) there's a never ending stream of bad news almost immediately but most of the stuff I've seen about Mr Beast is stuff like him being "exposed" for only spending 3 days inside an active volcano instead of 5. I'm sure there's some creative license there and he's a showman, but he appears to do more good than harm.
