There's an interesting looking book out soon that is all about "what ifs" in football and one of them looks like it is about Cantona keeping playing and winning the treble with United. https://www.pitchpublishing.co.uk/shop/moments-could-have-changed-football-forever Covers a bit naff but interesting sounding. Bit of pre match reading for you: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2023/may/26/parallel-lives-coventry-and-lutons-long-roads-collide-in-playoff-final https://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2023/may/26/being-a-coventry-fan-used-to-mean-chaos-and-pain-now-its-time-to-celebrate (this one is superb) Here's hoping the spirit of 87 is well and truly alive today. Starting to twitch like a Redknapp when the accountant calls. I’ve been all diplomatic and trying to convince myself that regardless of today, we have had an amazing season above even the most optimistic fans dreams. But it’ll still be massively disappointing to not win. There’s a lot of camaraderie between the two sets of fans, we both know we were never the pre season picks for the playoff final and the best wishes for next season from each other is nice. Whoever wins knows the Herculean task of being competitive in the top flight, but whoever wins is there on merit. Our supporters have been phenomenal, especially away, hope the sky blue army travelling faithful make their noise heard and you top flight lot get to meet them for yourselves next season. Paid Members SpiritOfTheForest Posted Saturday at 12:03 PM Paid Members Share Posted Saturday at 12:03 PM The Celtic boss who has revolutionised us and has emerged as the bookie's favourite for Tottenham Hotspur's new manager. Dearly loved by Celtic fans so would appreciate if you lads go after someone else and let the most exciting Celtic team I've ever seen continue to do their thing. If a Big Sam team scored 111 league goals in a season 😐 I think Sam Allardyce might be the furthest you can actually get from Ange in terms of style.
