Excitement that makes you want to keep tuning in. I didn't think there was much left for Jericho in AEW but the 'regeneration' of the Inner Circle could be pretty cool with the addition of 2.0 & Garcia. RedRooster Posted March 10, 2022 Share Posted March 10, 2022 Maybe I'm alone in this viewpoint, but I thought that was a mess of a show. Up until recently, post-PPV Dynamite's did a great job of resetting everything, and moving everyone on to new storylines. This time round, though, we have Jericho/Kingston, Rosa/Baker, Page/Cole, The Bucks/Red Dragon and the Darby/Sting/AHFO fiasco all carrying over. I'm not saying that some of these storylines shouldn't continue, but it's definitely a departure from how AEW once operated. That said, does anyone really want to see another Page/Cole match? And Page snubbing the Dark Order feels like deja vu. If they want to separate Page from TDO, that's fine - just do it without drawing attention to it. We don't really need a retread. At this point, I think they'd be better off having The Dark Order go their separate ways, though. Anna Jay feels very disassociated from them anyway now, one of the main Dark Order teams could have a fresh start over on ROH, while the other would be a nice addition to the AEW tag division. Preston Vance and Alan Angels would probably benefit from moving to ROH too. I don't think Angels will amount to much, but Vance has potential if he develops further, and ROH is probably the place for him to do just that. Colt Cabana, to me at least, has been very underutilised by AEW. The man has a very rare talent of making you sit up and take in every single word that leaves his mouth, such a quality. This one was pretty decent with some great moments but the show did feel a bit disjointed and messy. AEW still haven't entirely got the knack of how to pace shows properly even three years in. Stuff actually happens though which is more than you can say for most wrestling shows these days. Some really good angles and promos on this but unfortunately the crowd was one of the worst they had which meant they didn't necessarily land as well as they should. To be fair I wasn't surprised the crowd were so quiet and burnt out, most of them probably went to last weeks Dynamite, Rampage and Revolution in the past week.
