This would be the most hilariously shit and Spursy move. Better off just offering Kane the player manager role, either Harry or big red machine.

Weird if it happens. It's basically Poch admitting he's failed at PSG and come back to Spurs where Levy still remains and so does the same team that got him fired.

So yeah will happen.

Proper manager-go-round now. Pirlo gone (should never have been given that job in the first place) and Allegri is replacing him. Zidane gone and Conte gone.

Flick taking over Germany after Euros, Nagelsman to Bayern, Rose to Dortmund, Marsch to Leipzig.

If Poch returns to Spurs, Levy has to really make it worthwhile for him after the way he was treated. Kane will probably stay then, won't he ?

It's really not, and it's not that black and white. Nothing ever is.

Perception is everything. He finished second in Ligue 1 and got knocked out in the semi final of CL. He's failed with his two main targets there. If he wasn't happy and walked away with a title win you could possibly understand it, but to come away from PSG with one cup win is poor.

Anyway that's secondary to the fact that Levy would have to fully back him and if Kane is sold, he would have to be given the full whack of that to reinvest.

I completely disagree with this.

He hasn't had a full season, Lille have been absolutely sensational and hes coming away with two trophies, not one (actually that reminds me, I must add him to the list :))

Man City have also been the best team in Europe, so that's not a failure either. Also, Neymar and Mbappe aside, PSG ain't all that. They've carved up Ligue Un for years, but as soon as a decent side comes along, it exposes how poor the league has been for years.

I don't purport to know Poch personally (he won't respond to my letters) but if you watch or read enough about him (including the excellent Guillem Balague book on him) he is a bit of a weirdo, who spaffs on about "universal energy" and where that takes him. Not many people know that he was GUTTED to have to leave Southampton and wanted to stay. So who knows the reasons for why he might want to leave?

He is probably the most "romantic" manager I've ever known and I don't think it's as clear cut as some have suggested in that 'at the first sign of trouble hes bolted'. Leonardo sounds a bit shit to work under, and who knows what happens behind closed doors.

He might never win a "major trophy" in his career. I don't fucking care. That's not the be all and end all of football (or at least why I watch it).

What more do you want other than to be happy in the moment? That's what it is for me, and I know I would 100% be happier* watching a Poch led Spurs team than I would anyone else. The journey was better than the destination could've ever been under someone else.

Having said all that, if it doesn't happen (which let's face it, it won't) I feel sorry for whoever comes in now as it'll be really anticlimactic. Proper Spurs this.

*I am NEVER happy.

Couldn't agree more tbh.

I was fucking miserable during Mourinho's reign. He could have won the league and I still would have hated him. A square peg in a round hole if there ever was one.

This all seems a bit underwhelming if it happens, what say you @SuperBacon? Spurs replacing Jose with the man Jose is replacing. Didn't do particularly well with Roma. Seems like an appointment you'd expect from the likes of Watford.

Fonseca is such a weird appointment(if Levy can sell the club to him). You look at his record and you’d expect to see him rocking up at Watford like @PunkStepsaid.How do you start off at Poc, move on to Conte and end up at Fonseca? The coffers must be dry. At this rate even Everton will make a more ambitious appointment.
