The blueprint is clearly MJF in modern wrestling. But Roman seems to have no consistent moral stance, he buries everyone, wrestlers and fans ackowledge him and annuncers are in awe. So when he says stuff like this, it doesn't come off as anything but a burial of the other belt and champions. As it did the other way around. It's more have your cake and eat it booking that AI is guilty of. I dunno, I don't personally feel bothered by it. Although he's getting cheered, he's still essentially the same character he was as a heel. I don't necessarily mind that and I don't feel like the words of one character impacts perception of the title. He's being arrogant, but the WWE title isn't lesser because he says that it is. Your criticism is totally valid, but I don't think it does any actual damage. I do think his character is so messy that it makes storytelling very challenging, but that's another matter. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted October 21 Paid Members Posted October 21 Tale as old as time. True as it can be. Roman Reigns a directionless mess again? Saved by my boy Sami. Quote

Maybe we’re all fed up of the tired old notion of “good guys vs bad guys” and having our intelligence insulted. Quote

When you think about the total lack of any originality present in current day WWE, it's actually mildly shocking they haven't openly declared a 'New Attitude Era' by now. Quote
Paid Members Kamran Posted October 26 Paid Members Posted October 26 Coming up on Raw this week: They announced Becky Lynch vs Stephanie Vaquer in a no.1 contenders match earlier, however it sounds like that match is off because Vaquer isn't cleared. Preview: Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted October 27 Paid Members Posted October 27 Ever since guys like Brock and Roman started working reduced schedules, I’ve thought they should batch record backstage segments to still give the illusion they’re there and keep the storylines going on weeks they can’t be arsed flying in. This week, it looks like they finally did it with Roman, but with it being WWE they still managed to do it as weird as fucking possible. Check out the promo half way through this. Are all four men in the same room? Is Solo performing in front of green screen? Are Roman and the Usos AI? The whole thing looks bizarre. Like a WWE2K cutscene. Stay normal, WWE. Quote
The King of Old School Posted October 27 Author Posted October 27 That looks like those old episodes of Superstars or Wrestling Challenge where they would put Vince and his co commentator in front of the crowd to make it look like they were there commentating rather than doing voice overs. Quote
Merzbow Posted October 27 Posted October 27 It's a shame RAW is close to unwatchable in the way it's produced and formatted because Royce and Solo are so bloody good, two guys I never would have expected it from just a couple of years ago but they've found themselves 100%. Quote

Paid Members mim731 Posted October 27 Paid Members Posted October 27 I had high hopes for Lyra once they did the heel turn but they've killed any momentum she had stone dead. The booking of her as a crazy cat lady has not helped. She was far better as a babyface and if they were dead set on doing the turn, it might have been better to have Bayley be the heel. Quote
DavidB6937 Posted October 27 Posted October 27 Lyra's infinitely more interesting now than she was as a face. Bayley as a heel in recent times was rubbish. Quote
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted October 27 Paid Members Posted October 27 I thought that was Nikki Cross! Quote
d-d-d-dAz Posted October 28 Posted October 28 Best part of Raw was realising they'd allowed @Supremo to script Sami finally. 'The Bloodline was only good when I joined...' 'I took this business to new heights...' He hit all the marks. Quote

It's crickets when she comes out. Quote

If this isn't AI... how the fuck have they managed to make to look so much like AI?? Quote
