I loved every single minute of it and can’t wait to play it through again. Is Hollow Knight a similar type of game? If you're looking for a Metroid Clone, Axiom Verge is probably a better fit - it's inspired by the original Metroid games, and plays very similarly. It's not as difficult as Dread, but it's still a fun game. However, Hollow Knight is phenomenal and well worth your time. It's of the same genre as Dread, but there are enough significant differences for me to be apprehensive about recommending it as a like-for-like. In terms of the challenge it provides, it's definitely similar. In terms of the atmosphere? Ditto. But it's a different game; and for me, it's a much better one that I wouldn't hesitate in recommending. Just don't expect more of the (exact) same.

Keith Houchen
Got Assassins Creed Odyssey. It doesn’t feel like an AC game yet, more like a third person Far Cry mixed with Skyrim. Enjoying it but it hasn’t quite clicked yet.
Merzbow
Yeah they've taken inspiration from a fair few places with that one and Origins, I noticed combat was even slightly Dark Souls-y.
Mr_Danger
It’s a very good game but those bounty hunters can fuck right off. Don’t think I ever moved up and down the difficulty setting as much as I did in that game. Played nearly 40 hours and still only made it half way through too! Paid Members ReturnOfTheMack Posted November 30, 2021 Paid Members Share Posted November 30, 2021 I love Odyssey, it's easily my favourite Assassins Creed game up to now. Though it could be my love of Greek history colouring that.

Also the game is absolutely gorgeous.
Keith Houchen
Yeah I’ve always loved the historical aspect of the games so I’m looking forward to this one. Some bounty Hunter came at me bro but I sent him to Hades. I’m enjoying hearing malaka like it’s season two of The Wire all over again! Mr_Danger
Wait until you have three of the fuckers coming at you at the same time and at least one is about 10 levels higher than you! There’s also some great boning to be done in this one. I trust you’re playing as the far superior Kassandra?
Keith Houchen
Ancient Greece was no place for a bit of skirt. I’m the burly butch man in a skirt.
The King Of Swing
Fighting multiple bounty hunters can be an absolute blast. Definitely some of the most fun I've had playing the game.
King Coconut
I enjoyed Black Flag and have just bought this on the promise of men in skirts.
Paid Members PunkStep Posted December 1, 2021 Paid Members Share Posted December 1, 2021 Black Flag, Odyssey and Valhalla are all brilliant. Origins is also good, but not on par with the other three. The rest I can take or leave.
