Any remaining credibility is now shattered with comments like that. I'd agree, but he's constantly saying 'wait for the report'. He's gonna get away scot-free. It's amazing that so many people will forgive what he has done just because he was put in a bad situation. He wanted to be Prime Minister, he has to take the flak that comes with it. He's delivered a half-arsed Brexit, a response to a pandemic that based on deaths is one of the worst in the entire world, continually lied to Parliament, got married to his mistress, reneged on agreements from his half-arsed Brexit, lied to the public (I guess that's what every politician does anyway), refused to fund free school meals during COVID for people that need it, removed the £20 uplift of UC without thinking about (or caring) about the ramifications, tried to increase police powers to stop protests, is happy to see refugees drowning in the channel rather than helping them, fucked thousands of people in Afghanistan leaving them to die/be tortured. The only thing he has delivered is a pretty good vaccine roll out, even then, that's only cause of the massive profits him and his mates may make off of it, and the actual delivery to the public was from our wonderful NHS, emergency services, armed forces and volunteers. He has absolutely no leadership skills whatsoever, he runs his office like a boys club and has absolutely no compassion for anyone other than himself. He's a cunt. What's worse it that other cunts will ensure he gets away with it. Right, I'm off to calm down.
Vamp
You'd think Boris would have enough experience of lying to be halfway decent at it. I know for the most part he's never had to be, because he's always got away with everything anyway, but still. It's hugely damning if the "nobody told me it was against the rules" excuse is genuine. That means that he didn't understand the rules (probable). It also means tha the rest of the party either didn't understand the rules (plausible), didn't say anything because they were scared of him or because they didn't give a shit.

This one backfired. I’m sure it’ll get reported in due course

Paid Members Jazzy G Posted January 19, 2022 Paid Members Share Posted January 19, 2022 Has he had a sudden attack of socialism or is it just more indication of how Starmer is dragging the Labour Party to the right?

Also probably indicative of the feedback he's getting from constituents.

He's entirely motivated by self-preservation, just like all Tories are. Edited January 19, 2022 by 69MeDon

If so it's sad to see Johnson do it so successfully without people even really noticing.

Thatcher was known as Maggie (amongst other, more apposite names) as well, but at least they were their actual first names. Â

Think it's more of a hangover from his years of farting about as Mayor of London and his campaigning buffoonery more than anything else. It's just how he became prominent around the same time social media has boomed at the same time.
