Champ Man 2 was my obsession for a while in the mid 90s — my dad brought home a big whiteboard from his office, during a relocation, and I turned it into a strategy board for the game. I was a lonely kid.
Paid Members John Matrix Posted March 17, 2016 Paid Members Posted March 17, 2016 I know for some people the hook of champ manager was the player involvement, the tactics etc, but my addiction was a far more simple one... When I played, I could never turn off on a loss. Had to try and bounce back and recover before I could switch the thing off. Only problem was, it was nigh on impossible to turn off after a win such was the feeling of "We're back!" let's get another 3pts.. The epitomy of a vicious circle. I'm so out of the loop with modern day football I couldnt hope to be any good at recent versions of the game, but christ i'd love a go on the old one.

Sigborsson and Ibra upfront, being set up by Kennedy Bakiroglgoggoglfou (does anyone know how to spell his name?) Sharbel Touma and Kallstrom, with the lesser known Zlatan (Muslimovic) on the bench in case of injury, and of course Andreas 'The Wall' Isaksson in goal ... great times!

The next Maradona that signed for United EVERY save Marcelo Gallardo is now the manager of River, I love stuff like that. Gallardo and Ortega were the big club targets that always meant I could get my hands on the Swedes
Steve Justice Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 Anyone struggling to get this game working? I've both burnt it to a disc and mounted it to a virtual drive but nothing happens. I've manually opened the setup file and still nothing. Am I missing something?

I run it on an old laptop using XP but a boy at work had issues on Windows 7 because he wasn't running in admin mode.

Always loved signing bargains to get to the top. My faves were: Hugo Pinhiero (GK), Mike Duff (RB) Patrick Erickson-Olsson (CB), Taribo West (CB), Jamie Victory (LB), Hakan Mild (DM), Justin Walker (CM), Stefano Selakovic (AM), Cherno Samba (ST), Kevin Kyle (ST) and loads of others I can't name off the top of my head. Good times.
