Paid Members Gus Mears Posted September 13, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted September 13, 2016 Bit of a shitter but there you go, at least I'm still exercising I suppose. Â Â That really is the key to it all I feel. Â I've got the Bristol Half Marathon in just under two weeks. After training very well and realistically getting into shape so that I could do 1:35-1:40, I then decided to supplement my training by doing no running for a month and drinking every day like Oliver Reed. Back out running last week and managed to get three 8 milers in at a decent clip, but annoyed that I doubt I'm going to do much better than 1:45 at a push. Â It's my penultimate running event of the year, after that I'm back to the gym for winter where I want to bulk up with beautiful and completely useless mass again. Keith Houchen
My mate who is a runner and cyclist recommend an app for me, Starva or something, so I use that for walks and set weekly goals. My mental health is a lot better, just worried I'm switching my addiction. I'll have a chat with my GP, because between me and thee, lads, my meds kills my sex drive and the girlfriend is getting a bit pissed off. If she goes, the painkillers go is the way I'm not looking at it.
Paid Members Gus Mears Posted September 13, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted September 13, 2016 (edited) I'd get back to the docs Keith regarding the painkillers. Â I've had my own cock related injury in a different way. The anti-anxiety meds I'm on mean I still get a Harrelson, but I can't reach vinegar no matter how much I try. Â It's like I've signed up for one of Stings tantric sex classes without realising and it's no fun. It just results in a state of near constant arousal and I'm constantly worried that I'm going to have to bob around the office like an Emperor Penguin with an egg between its legs because my wanger had gone haywire again. Â It took five consecutive days with one girl until the mega powers finally exploded, by which point it was like the Johnstown Flood. Hideous. Keith Houchen
Yeah I've been similar, Gus. Can't shoot my bolt but stay rock hard. However, I've been really anxious over the lack of job and money running out and have no interest at all in the beast with two backs. I'm sure that once I'm up and running, I won't need viagra as I'll flow like Niagara.
Paid Members Gus Mears Posted September 13, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted September 13, 2016 I actually bought some cock pills for the first time to see if they would do 'owt about my lack of finishing moves in matches. Zip, nada. Just even more awkward, 12 year old at the school disco style, pointless boners.
Porkchopcash
My drinking has been curtailed dramatically but I think I'm switching addiction to painkillers. My girlfriend has chronic long term illnesses and leaves meds at mine, I've been caning zapain like they're skittles. They stop me wanting to drink but that's because I'm zoned out as it were. Bit of a shitter but there you go, at least I'm still exercising I suppose. I love the Zaps but they can cause bad arse probs with constipation and rock hard shits. I suffer with bad back pain and they are good for that. I also found they helped me a great deal with anxiety as well. They are addictive though as you probably know. I really would try and limit the amount you have as when you stop taking them it can affect your sleeping pattern and it can be horrible lying awake at night if you have things on your mind. Keith Houchen
Cheers, porky, yeah sleep is being a bastard but they do tend to help me drop off.
Paid Members ElCece Posted September 13, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted September 13, 2016 (edited) I would follow Gus' advice of visiting the Dr. They might pop you a short supply of a benzodiazepine to help you wean off them. Paid Members Monkee Posted February 16, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted February 16, 2017 I've been doing Slimming World for about 6 months now and I finally got my 2st certificate last night. I'm so pleased! I've been hovering for ages and I lost 4lbs this week knocking me just over. I've now lost 6st in total from when I was at my heaviest 8 years ago when I generally wore men's clothes and was a 52" waist (size 28 ladies) and now I'm wearing size 16 jeans. Paid Members Monkee Posted February 16, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted February 16, 2017 (edited) Thanks guys! On a daily basis I haven't really noticed a change but I did a side-by-side photo comparison from 8 years ago and I look like I'm wearing a fat suit compared to now. Â Edit: so here's the photo...
