I could see them bringing Magnus in and possibly Gunner. I'd like to think that Roode would get a shot too. Old Rob Terry could be an outside shot too.

I really couldnt see rob terry in the wwe. He looks great yes but he is shit in the ring and on the microphone. He is best off going back to porn

Your probably right, but Mason Ryan was much worse and he got a shot. I think Big Rob looks great in the current Freak gear, just a shame about the rest as you say.

As much as TNA only has themselves to blame for the schadenfreude pile on, it is a bit much to say they wouldn't be missed.

Through all the shite they put us through, there's still been stretches of good TV, there's still a lot of great talent & great matches and there's still a million plus Americans getting something out of it once a week plus however many hundred thousands here and elsewhere who'll miss it.

It'll be a shame if they're done, especially if they're not replaced and WWE is the only style of mainstream TV wrestling production we're left with.

I loved the whole main event mafia storyline ( the first one) it had me hooked i have to admit. When was sting gonna turn on them was the qustion i had every week. Their move to monday nights was good for a couple of weeks, mainly the first show they did. That was a mental show. The aj v joe feud has had some great moments so has joe v angle. Sting produced some great matches here and there. Tna has had some great moments but there has been alot of shit aswell

I think the fact that I loved some of the stuff that is deemed as shite by most people puts me in a defensive role with TNA. I do think however that there is enough good stuff to come out of the company for it to be missed some what.

I used to love to see which  ex-WWE/WCW would turn up next and what bizaree gimmick they would have. Now some were awfull in the sense that it didn't make any sense but it really entertained me. Black Reign was weird but fun as well, for the wrong reasons I guess but still fun.

There were times when the X-Division was great, the talent was exciting and sometimes it even felt like it had an identity. Doug Williams as X-Division champ is one underrated title reign that was great fun.

This you understand is from a wrestling fan who is so utterly jaded by WWE that he never watches, I won't claim to be watching wrestling that's criticaly of high quality but I do watch what I enjoy.

Saying that however I admit to having missed TNA for the past 2 months. If that undercuts my entire thread then so be it ;)

Erm, so that's a new thing that they just did:

TNA Wrestling Signs American War Hero Chris Melendez to Multi-Year Agreement

NEhc90u.jpg

TNA Wrestling is happy to announce the signing of a true American hero! Chris Melendez is a former Army Sergeant, who served his country in Afghanistan and was awarded a Purple Heart. Because of injuries suffered in combat, the brave soldier returned home a single leg amputee. Melendez, a member of the Wounded Warrior Project, had another dream to realize when he returned home. He dreamed of becoming a pro wrestler.

Chris’ remarkable story begins as a kid growing up in Spanish Harlem. His grandmother introduced him to professional wrestling at a young age and, ever since, he has been hooked.

“The ability to captivate an audience without having to say any words is what got me hooked.”

Inspired by his father, a Vietnam Vet, and compelled by the events of September 11, Chris joined the U.S. Army at the young age of 17. At age 19, and with only 23 days of his Iraq deployment remaining, he sustained horrifying life-threatening injuries from an IED.

“When I was able to open my eyes after the explosion I looked across the battlefield to see what I thought was a fellow-soldier in need of help. I quickly realized it was my leg.”

After being resuscitated three times and enduring numerous emergency surgeries and procedures, Melendez’s long road of recovery took him to Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. Through pure grit and determination, cutting edge science and technology delivered via the VA, and support from friends, family and The Wounded Warrior Project, Melendez was walking with a prosthetic within 40 days.

In 2012, Melendez entered Team 3D Academy of Professional Wrestling in Florida where he trained day-in and day-out under the tutelage of Bully Ray and Devon. Now, TNA Wrestling can announce the signing of Chris Melendez to a multi-year contract.

Still known in the locker room as “Sarge”, Melendez is set to make his debut for the company during the August 5-7 tapings at New York City’s legendary Manhattan Center.

Surely Spike would be more likely to bug the TNA tape library than WWE? If they plan on keeping wrestling on the channel, a good proportion of that fed would be made up of TNA guys, so it'd give then material for videos/promos etc.

WWE would hire the following from TNA:

No-one. Bobby Roode didn't even have a contract going into a PPV main event a year ago or so. He even held out that night. WWE didn't make a proper offer.

So, despite everything that's going on right now apparently British Boot Camp 2 is still happening and they've been announcing names for the upcoming auditions. Confirmed so far are:

El Ligero

Rampage Brown

Martin Stone

Joel Redman

Noam Dar

RJ Singh

Mark Andrews

Sha Samuels

The Owens Twins (Leah & Kasey Owens)

Tiger Ali

A really good mix of talent that. Shame that the show is happening at such a turbulent time for the company.
