I just realized test was only 33 when he died, fuck never knew he was that young when he was in the WWE, means he was 30 in his last WWE year in 2006 and only 22/23 when he was in the corporation. Man under better circumstances he could have at least had one more run in the WWE or Japan under better circumstances.

When I was 12 I bloody loved Test. I think it was his music, his collection of over the top moves and the fued with Shane McMahon. I was distraught when he was pushed down the card in late 99-early 2000. Always had a soft spot for Test.

For as shit as he was, for as long as he was shit, that match with Shane at SummerSlam 1999 was so fucking fun that he always held a special place in my heart.

He was actually quite good during the Invasion - every time the faces looked like they were winning in one of the innumerable brawls that happened, he'd come out of the blue with the big boot to cut them off. Keeping him in that role made him a great heel henchman.

 

Shame about Test, in some ways - he looked main event, and if he'd been a bit more professional, might have gone a bit further in his first run.

On the subject of Test, he made me skin feel all funny whenever I saw him in ECW or TNA. He was so jacked up, he looked uncomfortable and all spotty.

My brother used to think the start was "Boom, here we go, put your name on my boot", which in hindsight actually makes more sense than that nonsense. Kind of.
