Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted March 22, 2015 Paid Members Posted March 22, 2015 Anyone remember when TNA opened Impact with Eric Bischoff jamming with a instrumental piece on a guitar? What a fucking opening that was.
Paid Members Maverick Posted March 22, 2015 Paid Members Posted March 22, 2015 I do. I think I was in chat, it was class. Bischoff is easily one of my favorite on screen wrestling characters.
Paid Members ColinBollocks Posted March 22, 2015 Paid Members Posted March 22, 2015 Like a pro, I believe he got twatted with the guitar after showing us all how real men play. I do miss that period of TNA. Some of it was rubbish, but they had a better roster than WWE at the time and there was a period of time when Impact was the best wrestling show on telly. Things like the Beer Money split and James Storm's manly babyface run were great fun. With WWE misfiring right now, a big time show would be grand.
Slapnut Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Was he actually playing? I remember the way the camera cut from close-ups of the guitar to him playing made it look like they'd spliced footage together of somebody else playing.
Paid Members Maverick Posted March 22, 2015 Paid Members Posted March 22, 2015 Seemed like it, the Bisch is a fine musician. Sang his own WWE theme.
Sphinx Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 I assumed it was a soundalike. They often used singers who sound like the performer in their theme songs.
Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted March 22, 2015 Paid Members Posted March 22, 2015 I wonder why they remixed the old Diesel theme song for Kevin Nash in 2003. I wonder why they didnt just use the Diesel song. Everything about him was Diesel anyway. Even called him "Big Daddy Cool" and had his old fireworks thingy for his entrances. Never wore tassels on his leather pants, though. So many questions unanswered about that run, sadly.
TheShowOff Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 I hate it when they mess with great music. Same with Bret Hart when he came back in 2010.
sammorgz Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 I hate it when they mess with great music. Same with Bret Hart when he came back in 2010. I absolutely hated that. To me there is only one theme for Bret.
Paid Members Murtz Posted March 23, 2015 Paid Members Posted March 23, 2015 There's no greater travesty than Stings new music. Just doesn't feel the same without his original crow theme.
Paid Members ColinBollocks Posted March 23, 2015 Paid Members Posted March 23, 2015 It's also easily the worst entrance song he's ever had. Sting always had great music to come out, but this WWE theme has zero hook. A bit like that Goldberg rip off song Da Man used during his WWE run.
Paid Members Arch Stanton Posted March 23, 2015 Paid Members Posted March 23, 2015 I guess Sting's new music might have a bit more impact at WrestleMania if they have full orchestral support or something. No idea if they are planning anything like that, but it would be fitting and would certainly give it a lift. It's so flat as it is.
Paid Members Murtz Posted March 23, 2015 Paid Members Posted March 23, 2015 (edited) You know, if they do the crow theme with an orchestra like the game advert at WM then enduring the music he has now will have been so worth it. So disappointed if it doesn't happen now. Edited March 23, 2015 by Murtz
drkopen Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 I keep thinking Ravens back? when his music starts.
WyattSheepMask Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 (edited) They have put a casting call out for people to be scarecrows. The news site reported this as possibly being for Bray Wyatt but surely it's link lies in the HHH/Sting match more. Just have to wait and see, but I'd love his crow theme to be used, even if it was just once. There was also a casting call out for people to play Russian soldiers for Rusev's entrance, that's going to look awesome Edited March 23, 2015 by WyattSheepMask
