The moment at the start where Trips has to compose himself. Bloody hell. It gets said all the time but why video productions and vignettes like this aren't being played on RAW is mind boggling, especially in the 'reality era'.

Takeover should be a good watch tomorrow, happy they’re doing this on Friday as that means I can catch G1 Supercard live on Saturday.

Womens Fatal 4 way probably has me the most excited, hoping for an Io win/Dreading a Belair win

I see NXT lads Kyle O’Reilly and Trevor Lee have been sent over to Progress for Super Strong Style 16 this year.

Saw the O’Reily announcement yesterday. While I’ve no issue with either he or Trevor Lee (who hasn’t even debuted on TV yet) being involved, there’s a small section are kicking up a right fuss about it being “evidence” of Progress “are in WWE’s pockets”, seemingly forgetting Kassius Ohno was in it last year and no-one complained

Kassius Ohno has previously wrestled for PROGRESS when he wasn't signed to WWE, so it made sense when he was booked last year. KOR and Trevor Lee, two very popular indie names (and DJ-Z), weren't touched by PROGRESS during their time on the indie circuit, despite being booked by a bucket load of British indie companies during their long pre-WWE tenure. So it's rather weird that PROGRESS have booked those three for their big tournament, and it's a tournament that was all ready import heavy, from a company who used to pride themselves on using primarily British talent.

So you can see where those arguments come from, although PROGRESS cancelling/moving shows to fit around their 'non-PROGRESS commitments' and the general lackluster creative product PROGRESS are pumping out these days  is evidence enough. 'Punk Rock' no more, I'm afraid.

And what exactly is “using him properly”?

Not just plonking him on Raw in meaningless matches or random backstage segments or whatever else.

This is a guy that has been having some of the best matches in the company the last few years. He's one of the few legit UK stars they have for that brand, one of the most consistent performers in NXT and someone that deserves to be protected going forward if they have any care about the UK and international market.

So "using him properly" is not going down the EC3 route for example. Completely different guys I know, and I'm not comparing their talent level at all, but EC3 was dead on arrival because they just didn't bother with him at all. I never thought it was possible for them to do less with him than they did on NXT but they somehow managed it. No backstory or reason to care or anything really.

There's room for a guy like Dunne on the roster. He can talk and he can wrestle. But he'll become just like everyone else if they're not careful, and that would be a real shame when they've managed to protect him pretty damn well since his first appearance for the company.

This is a guy that should have a very bright future ahead of him and could really do well for WWE worldwide, but it'll all come down to how he's presented. Give him some decent vignettes and good sit-down interview time and really sell who he is as a wrestler. Ricochet and Black have just about gotten away with the meaningless match route because they're interesting enough but not everyone is so lucky.

I hope they keep bumping that Lee vs Dijakovic rematch again and again and again so we’re still seeing the same highlight clips advertising it in November.

I’m sure that’s the gimmick they’re going with at the moment, keep bumping it until they get to the next Takeover

Dunno actually looked the business at The Rumble, so I'm a little more optimistic about him than I was.  Though he's shorter than average, he fitted in fine.

I'm really hoping Adam Cole wins the belt at Takeover.  I've really turned 180 on him since he arrived.  He's just such a charismatic chap, he's worked hard on his physique, he can put in a fucking shift if asked but also knows how to work a more character-led match.  Him v Dream as a long feud post-Mania would be great: I'd love to see who Dream would rope in to counter the Era lads.
