Briefcase Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) I used to watch every week up until maybe this time last year, last producer I wasn't very keen on and things IMO got really shit towards the end of his time. From what I've heard the new producer is even worse. I was thinking of watching the last 12 months back on some crazy binge watch as not sure I would like to randomly start watching without really knowing whats going on, problem is the person I would watch with would get triggered from the Nigel storyline so don't think the binge watch would work (probably a good thing for my health too). Edit If I was to compare Eastenders with Monday Night Raw it's gone the same way in that its not as gritty and don't think I am it's audience nowadays, its probably getting to the Royal Rumble stage of the year in the run up to WrestleMania (Christmas/New Year) and they did some flashforward thing last year which means I am sure to have missed out on things which is why I was thinking of the 12 month binge watch. Hmm, maybe will give Corrie a go. Edited 3 hours ago by Briefcase Quote

I agree with you @SuperBaconand think it's the bleakest, most depressing shite on TV. Tonight took the absolute mick though in terms of bleakness. I can't believe Kat and Alfie are still together to be honest. Quote

Plenty of dark storylines, but they always manage to keep a little light relief in there. Eastenders is just all out doom and gloom. Quote
deathrey Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I think Corrie was always better at adding in humour and always having light-hearted storylines on the go alongside the serious stuff. EastEnders is like 30 minutes depression tablets Quote

Does anyone still watch this regularly? It's like torture. I never found it depressing. Its diminishing returns. Shane Richie just doing his best Bill Alfonso to keep his job after getting taken to court. Cant take this shite seriously anymore. Quote

Corrie was always funny, and when I did watch both, I much preferred it. Quote
