How is this thread still alive since 2010? This channel and video popped up yesterday, honestly, in 2025 I went in expecting the worst but it's a really well researched and comes from the heart of someone lovely. His other long form videos on things from Emmerdale's first big crash to Dirty Den coming back from the dead are ace.

Amazon have dropped Neighbours. Looks like it’s axed again (for a third time if you count 1985 when it switched networks in Australia). This probably really is the end of it now. Amazon blaming low viewership I believe.

Needless to say I am heartbroken. I question Amazon's low viewership claims when you consider it's pretty much always in the top 10 viewed shows on Amazon.

40 years on and I fear this really is the end for Ramsey Street.

Emmerdale has the Dingle World Order, old school Britwres stalwart Big Bear, even soft Billie had a stint in bare knuckle boxing. Corrie has always had shit hard men. Outside of Big Jim the closest they’ve had is little Kevin Webster, a middle class teacher and a middle class factory owner.

I’d like to revise my position on Emmerdale wiping the floor with the Corrie lot. The Corrie Divas division would absolutely batter the Glamorous Ladies Of Yorkshire.

The blokes are still fucked though. Imagine the scene. Big Jim looking like he’s single-handedly turning the tide, using every trick in the book that he learnt during his time fighting for the Queen during the troubles. Then this guy turns up.  “Bah gawd, he’s swapped the sequins for steroids King. It’s it’s the jail bait smashing cuckolded son of a farmer/post office armed robber Andy Sugden”
