Paid Members air_raid Posted February 19, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted February 19, 2016 One thought I came out of the film with re : certification - what the hell do you need to do to get an 18 these days???
ThumpSquids
I've not been buying comics much over the last few years, except Deadpool, but I was once a big New Warriors fan, and especially Speedball. Is he up to much nowadays? Â

Strong sex, rape and racial abuse are pretty much garantueed 18s. As for violence it seems to depend on the tone of the film. If it's a comic book film they can get away with a 15, but the exact same violence in a serious film will get you an 18.
Mr.E
Not sure if people have seen, but I've seen a lot of people (I presume from the states) complaining about deadpool because they took a child with them to see it....despite being an R rated movie hah. Â And re: the certification of a movie: I would agree it depends on the tone. In a serious film, this stuff is done with "intent" I suppose, so its deemed to be more violent? Paid Members Scott Malbranque Posted February 19, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted February 19, 2016 (edited) I think I'd firmly believe Christof was overseeing my life and listening to me if Deadpool 2 had Kevin Nash as Cable. WyattSheepMask
It'll end up being the guy that plays Abraham in Walking Dead won't it?
CavemanLynn
Abraham should timetravel in, war-torn and desperately grizzled. Â Then just as he's about to utter his first line, Nash beams in in the same gear, blows Abraham's bonce off, says something sexy, then gives a cheeky wink to camera that makes his Cable-eye glow for the rest of the film. Paid Members Your Fight Site Posted February 20, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted February 20, 2016 Just read DC Comics are rebooting again. They say it's not a reboot and in fact a "rebirth", but some titles are starting from #1 again, and others reverting to their pre-New 52 numbering. Polish Dad
If they take Snyder off Batman then I'm done. That run is one of the few things keeping me with DC right now.

RIDDUM_N_STYLE
Got back from seeing Deadpool before, fucking loved it. Ryan Reynolds has to be the most perfect casting for a Marvel character in film since Robert Downey Jr was chosen to play Iron Man. Definitely putting it into my top 3 Marvel films behind the first Avengers film and Guardians of the Galaxy

I've been reading Deadpool in the comics in Reynolds' voice for ages. Being a fan of the character no doubt helped him in his portrayal but yeah, superb. The King Of Swing
Echo the love for Deadpool. Brainless fun at it's best.
Paid Members Sergio Mendacious Posted February 22, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted February 22, 2016 Not the kind of thing I'm precious about, but I swore off any new DC comics when they did the New 52 — I've been a fan for a long time, and I just can't be doing with all that history being tossed away. They killed my true comicbook love, The Legion of Superheroes, a long time ago, and they gradually wore me down to a point of not wanting to read their comics anymore.
