Steve Justice
The mobile skin works really well. What do you need an app for? Genuine question, not being shitty. I would always rather use a well skinned mobile site than have to download an app. For me an app would be perfect. Because of the amount of times I visit the board at work, the site has been blocked. Apps can't get blocked.
CTXRussomark
If your work has blocked the site, presumably you now access it through your phone? So having an app is irrelevant?
MungoChutney
If he's using his works WiFi on his phone then it could still be blocked.
CTXRussomark
Ah, didn't realise that was a thing. My work blocks loads of sites but I can still access them through my phone using their WiFi.
MungoChutney
I work in a building that's owned by an offshoot of Glasgow City Council, they have some filters but not many. My own works WiFi doesn't have any at all.
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted May 27, 2016 Moderators Share Posted May 27, 2016 My current workplace has the worst internet ever. Shitloads of filters, and javascript is completely blocked. So many websites don't run at all; it's a right pain in the arse.
Steve Justice
If he's using his works WiFi on his phone then it could still be blocked. Â Indeed I am. I can't get data coverage where I'm located so I use the company WiFi. Otherwise yeah, it wouldn't be a problem.
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted May 27, 2016 Moderators Share Posted May 27, 2016 Adguard app has a free vpn service; would this get around the filtering?
Paid Members Sergio Mendacious Posted June 1, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted June 1, 2016 Do we have a thread that I'm just missing where people can just blurt out any general stuff? I have the most inconsequential anecdote (yeah, a surprise), and I don't want to make a thread for it.
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted June 1, 2016 Moderators Share Posted June 1, 2016 We used to, but it became an annoying superthread because people would just post everything in there. Â So now we can't have nice things. Just start a thread for it.
Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted June 1, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted June 1, 2016 I assumed Chest meant start a thread for the specific thing.
Slapnut
You know that little arrow on the right hand corner of a quote, it's meant to take you to the original post right? Â At the moment it just seems to be taking me to the very first post of the thread (which isn't the quoted post). Â I've tried a few different quotes in a few different threads. Â Anybody else having similar problems?
Paid Members BigJag Posted June 8, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted June 8, 2016 I just tried using it. It works as it should.
Paid Members gmoney Posted June 15, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted June 15, 2016 (edited) This has probably been asked a thousand times, so apologies in advance, but how do I turn off signatures?  EDIT: Sorted it. Edited June 15, 2016 by gmoney
Paid Members PunkStep Posted July 12, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted July 12, 2016 What's with these weird SQL errors? Haven't seen it before, I've only just been able to get onto the UKFF. Been like it since last night.
