From debut to departure - the fastest wrestling binnings

Missy Hyatt filming 6 weeks worth of TV for WWF in 1987, but never appearing on camera. Her only appearance was an article in WWF Magazine.

Also that weird fur monster costume Brutus Beefcake was fannying around in for about 3 or 4 run-ins.

Not only the weird furry gimmick but it suddenly turned into the masked Mariner which didn't last either.

Sorry if already said

A little longer than some others in here, but Damien Demento, main events the first raw and in the 1993 rumble and I don't remember him doing much other than that there.

Damian Demento vs Bob Backlund in an ultra-rare 'battle of superstars without entrance music' at UK Rampage 93 in Sheffield.

They can't have had any plans for Demento if they wouldn't get Jim Johnston in to knock up a spooky tune.

It's such a unique look, that even though it's objectively shit, and Beefer doing the gimmick long term would have definitely been shit, I find it fascinating.

Got a WCW one, Emory Hale as The Machine vs DDP... possibly the only televised outing this millennium for a particular rope-based spot.

Had a quick look back and don't see this mentioned. Apologies if I've missed something but the thread has expanded quite quickly.

News broke of Awesome Kong/Kharma signing with WWE at the end of 2010. After getting the post-WM 2011 vignette treatment to hype her debut. Eventually attacking some Divas. It would become a wrestling What If... moment as it never went beyond that as she discovered she was pregnant.

There would a single in-ring appearance in the 2012 Royal Rumble. Note this is before there are two gendered versions. At this point I think only Chyna had competed in the Rumble. She was released in the summer of 2012.

I was such a big fan of her in TNA, and I was so happy when I found out she signed with WWE. I really loved the little vignettes they did to build her debut, it was all very promising. It's a shame how it all ended!

I’ll add another AEW one to the list…Trench.

I’m not even joking when I say I’m more intrigued about this man’s story than almost any other AEW wrestler ever. I’m not even sure I can call him a wrestler, as he doesn’t seem to have ever been in a match. How did he even end up on television, in a company that prioritises ring work over anything else? Why was he released so quickly? What is he doing now?

I imagine the gimmick was Luchador who joined a Skiffle band.

Went to see what he is upto. Found it funny that his only social media suggested is a LinkedIN profile.

Then I noticed his website. https://www.grandengalengoetzman.com/

I don't think i've seen anything like it before :)

Parker Boudreaux.

Looked a tiny bit like Brock Lesnar and got the Heyman seal of approval, renamed "Harland" on NXT but was released within a year and never made it to the main roster.

Went on to AEW as part of that memorable stable "The Trustbusters", and later part of Swerves crew with the aforementioned Trench.

Must have only wrestled a handful of TV matches before being released.

I'd love to know more about it - it looks like they went through the lost property box of the arena they were in that day. What's really odd is that the WWF were usually very, very protective of making sure that their wrestlers looked the part. There's all sorts of sketches and designs from their design department of various stars attire. They always made sure it always looked high quality....and then this bag of shit.

Did they make it so shit so that it would be memorable?

I've always thought that they should open up their archives and do a book on the outfits - it'd be great to see more of the sketches and working outs of various characters and their evolution.

I'd love that, the best we've got was this from a while back with early 90's sketches and some of them are batshit. Imagine Razor coming out in that hat looking like a lost JoJo's Bizarre Adventure character.

Given in wrestling and reality, Beefer always had a bit of an odd sense of dress, I'd absolutely punt that the look was all down to him both the above and that Furface outfit.

Should always be noted this gimmick wasn't intended to last very long as the long held rumour with who the masked man was mostly interacting with, it would have been Beefcake unmasking at Wrestlemania VII after the Valentine/Earthquake match, but everyone got a bit nervy about the progress and risks of Beefcakes recovery, and probably rightly so.

How about our Steve Lombardi in different baseball gimmicks in consecutive years. As MVP in 1993 he was in the IC title battle royal, did he have any other matches? And the following year as Abe Knuckleball Schwartz, maybe a couple of matches on Superstars and Challenge and that was it.
