Hade Vansen only had the one vignette on Smackdown before he got binned, didn't he? And I can only remember Kizarny making the one appearance before he got dumped, but might be wrong on that one. Inspired by this post by Lorne Malvo and, of course, by Max Caster being sacked by TNA for comments made within the first few seconds of his debut for the company. I don't want to limit this to just sackings for bad behaviour, but what are the best examples of companies binning wrestlers following their first appearances? Here's my pick - if it even counts... Brian Kendrick was dumped from AEW before even making his debut after clips of him resurfaced spouting out mad conspiracy theories including Holocaust denial. He didn't even get beyond the graphic hyping a match... Quote
The King of Old School Posted yesterday at 03:12 PM Posted yesterday at 03:12 PM I know it's not really the same thing as I guess he would have been in development for a while, but who was that big guy who teamed with The New Day once on Raw a couple of years ago and then was never seen again? Think he had some kind of domestic abuse charge against him but can't think of his name for the life of me. Quote
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted yesterday at 03:18 PM Paid Members Posted yesterday at 03:18 PM Jake Atlas. Signed by AEW, gets injured in his very first match, then arrested for domestic violence and immediately fired. Good riddance. Quote

Odyssey Jones. I'm not really sure what the situation was with him, but it seemed a little murky and unclear, as far as those things go. He's ended up wrestling for All Japan and MLW. Quote

Paid Members RedTwoster Posted yesterday at 03:37 PM Author Paid Members Posted yesterday at 03:37 PM So obscure that I can't even find the tease in question, but TNA promoted the upcoming debut of a wrestler named 'Andromeda', who was supposed to be portrayed by exotico wrestler Cassandro. He was released before debuting. Seems like there are conflicting accounts of why this happened, with Cassandro saying he left after experiencing homophobia and the company saying it was due to visa issues. Quote
Paid Members Statto Posted yesterday at 04:03 PM Paid Members Posted yesterday at 04:03 PM Another pre-debut release - Aloisia, the super tall one who was supposed to be in NXT season 3. Announced as a contestant but let go prior to the first episode for having made some spicy content (as they call it these days). Total tenure under contract of a couple of weeks, IIRC. It brought Kaitlyn into our lives though so all good 😍 Quote

I have no memory of this whatsoever! How about Jackson Andrews? Debuted as Tyson Kidd's bodyguard, was gone less than a month later without ever having a match. Quote
Paid Members Arch Stanton Posted yesterday at 04:10 PM Paid Members Posted yesterday at 04:10 PM The example I gave in the TNA thread was Buff Bagwell. He was a pretty huge name at the time and made his WWE debut in the main event of Raw's WCW branded show, but his match stank the place out, he annoyed too many people backstage and never worked in the WWE again. WyattSheepMask Posted yesterday at 04:13 PM Posted yesterday at 04:13 PM (edited) Back in the 90s there was a pretty famous one in the WWF of Phantasio, the wrestling magician. Appeared on one episode of Wrestling Challenge and was never seen again, supposedly due to some incident involving fire before going out for his entrance. Wasnt one of The Rascalz sent packing almost immediately following their AEW debut? Edited yesterday at 04:14 PM by WyattSheepMask Quote
Paid Members Statto Posted yesterday at 04:15 PM Paid Members Posted yesterday at 04:15 PM Oh yeah, good shout - and it was before, I think. They ended up debuting as a trio. Trey Miguel - can't remember why they ditched him. Went straight back to TNA. Quote
AshC Posted yesterday at 04:16 PM Posted yesterday at 04:16 PM Eric Escobar as Vickie's latest flame. Put into a Survivor Series mega match, taken out and gone from TV in short order. Quote
Infinity Land Posted yesterday at 05:36 PM Posted yesterday at 05:36 PM Vic Grimes as Key in 90s WWF. He was renamed but as a gimmick 'Hirohito' I think ended after one vignette. Went on to become Kenzo Suzuki. Konnan as Max Moon. Quote
