Any Blackburn fan or regular Championship viewer able to tell me anything about new Scotland call-up Kristi Montgomery? Is he any good? He's a new name on my radar, I'm a little surprised that he has ended up getting called into the squad over James Penrice, although there's every chance it's a fair decision given how little I know about the guy.

He's played for Scotland at under 21 level. He's presumably doing a spectacular job to have been called up from the bottom third of the Championship. He has scored this season, so will probably be off to the Premier League when the transfer window opens. 

He's likely trying to cement a spot in the squad while we've got players out with injuries, so will be playing his heart out.

Got lucky on my fourth go. 

My first success was all down to getting Lampard in mid, then Tony Cottee and van Nistelrooy up front, but this team smashed it for me:

Just one for Schmeichel. I think he might have scored another in the cup or something. 

Funny how some people hardly seem to show up. Kevin Davies is a constant presence, but I haven't seen Andy Cole, Kane or Rooney once.

This is my best number so far. I also did the 442 exact one earlier and nearly done it again. I had 6 left. Picked Aaron Hughes. Who scored 5 goals.

I just got Cole and Defoe up front together but way over the 442 exact limit.

Easy to get lucky with a few high scorers and smash over 442, the real challenge is to try to hit 442 on the nose!

God, this is addictive. I’ve hit 439 and 444 twice, but no 442.
I’d get on better if I didn’t compulsively include Taribo West every time he appears.

It's fucking dangerous when you get close - I've had 441, 443 and 446 and it really gives it that 'just one more go' quality as 4-4-2 feels attainable.

My biggest flaw in this game - aside from being terrible at maths - is totally misremembering how impactful certain players were when it came to goals. Some seemed more prolific than they actually were (generally because their spells in the EPL were short) and others seemed crap but scored far more than I realised. 

On the subject of maths - I genuinely thought I'd hit 442 before my final pick, and I was punching the air when Ali Dia came up in the final round of players. And almost punching the table when I realised my sums were off and it was 441. Absolutely crushing.

If you play on hard mode, with the target of hitting 442 exactly, then the counter starts at 442 and counts downwards as you select your players, so you know exactly how many goals you need.
