The WWE currently has the WCW collection in its archives.

It's basically just sitting there gathering dust apart from the occasional upload to YouTube.

Now in the year of 2026, Do you think, WWE could get a WCW show to work?

Having it air on Netflix in a weekly format using WCW legends and up and comers

Even bring back an updated Nitro.

I'm sure fans of old would tune in, if only for the nostalgic hit.

An idea so terrible and ill-conceived that not even WWE would attempt it.

I'm not sure which WCW legends you could get involved a). Those who are still active and b). Who audiences now would identify as WCW stars as lines have been blurred so much over the years with them moving across promotions.

Other than the names of the show, is there anything which would rule it as a WCW product? About the only thing, and one I truly support, would be those unique PPV backdrops for the entranceway. Saying that though most of those PPV names are now linked with WWE having ripped them off for themselves and NXT over the years.

Best you could hope for is an NXT "Nitro" or Saturday Night special. Use one of the old sets in a WCW stronghold or even Center Stage. Similar to the ECW arena show a while back.

Other than the innumerable other ways it's a bad idea that would be executed by the most nefarious possible exploiters, there's a major number two (!) on Turner networks with Tony Schiavone, Turner belts,  a smaller ring, a more sports presentation etc. If you're not into that, fine, but it doesn't stop it from essentially being the Continuity WCW. It's right there. And I don't feel wanting for the branding or the dregs of the old days showing up with bum bags full of beta blockers and unsigned 8x10s to make it pop.

As mentioned above, you’d pretty much just be doing a show in Atlanta and have Goldberg, Nash and Luger in the crowd for a wave at the camera, which they’ve presumably done with all 3 individually in the past anyway

It's quite mad that you have more working talent to be physically able to do ECW reunion cards on indies and with WCW it's almost impossible.

Wouldn't happen, shouldn't happen. There's no talent left and if they just brought in lots of new people to fill up the roster, it'd get shit on like the new ECW did, even if (like with the new ECW) there were good talent, matches and storytelling.
