Credit to Sol Ruca though, for how much flak she gets for botching her finisher to keep at it takes credit. Just a shame she nearly brained herself on that outside moonsault.

I have yet to see the show, but I did see a clip of Triple H saying that the landscape of WWE will change after the show. Did we enter another new era?

I fall on the side of not really seeing that myself, but curious to understand why some people do think he's fucked. Is a loss to Brock in such a chaotic strong manner really messing him up? 

We've all been watching wrestling long enough to know that you can't win all the time and it's as much about how you lose. Undefeated streaks are rarely a good booking idea.

If he'd lost to one F5 and looked really weak then I'd completely agree but they were really selling how much it took to put him down in defeat. And surely how fucked he is depends on how they follow it up?

Oba will be fine

It took 7 F5s, including one through the announce table and the focus was on his arm being hurt as a major reason he lost not being able to hit the fall from grace.

Undefeated streaks can only go so far and it's a bit daft doing an undefeated streak for a guy we've seen lose in NXT multiple times anyway (this isn't an Asuka situation)

Could you have had him beat Brock, go on to win KOTR and then beat Roman/Cody at Summerslam? Sure and he would be made but I don't think losing just once in this manner will destroy him or anything

He'll likely beat Brock in the decider at either Night of Champions or Summerslam and I'd say (very early 8 months out prediction) is the favourite to win the Royal Rumble right now and then be crowned at Wrestlemania

He's definitely not fucked, that's mad. But he's in a holding pattern until presumably post-Summerslam, where the best he can hope for is he's in the same place he was the night after Mania.

Because, realistically, come the Raw after Summerslam he's going to be the guy who retired (or at least beat comfortably, if Brock isn't done) Brock Lesnar. But, he's already been that. Only before, he was the guy Brock couldn't beat; now we know Brock can beat him - albeit with some difficulty.

If they've got nothing else for him (and I don't believe they should throw the whole company, title and all, at him right away) going into Summerslam, it keeps him in a high profile position so, fine. 

Just think, though. Big Phil is at home. They could have really stress tested his newfound, naturally occuring Totally Resilient Torso by having Oba lob him about a bit.

Undefeated streaks can only go so far. People have to lose eventually. And it’s not as if he lost clean to one Jackknife Powerbomb. Scott Hall electrocuted him with a taser!

Oba isn’t fucked, and of course he’ll be fine if they follow up with the tightest and bestest booking of all time, but trading wins in a presumed trilogy doesn’t achieve anything that wasn’t already achieved at Wrestlemania.

If you’re having to script him to take six thousand finishers to try and dilute and distract from his first big loss, surely that alone is evidence that it might not be the best idea? Imagine if he’d taken all those F5s and then still won. That’d have been the smart, bold move. Instead he’s just doing the same patterned back and forth everyone else does. They had a white hot hand that they’re already normalising. Impressive.

Also funny that people are arguing that undefeated streaks can only go so far, as if they’d exhausted the run. Not counting The Rumble, this was his tenth match on the main roster. His second pay per view match. 

Who the fuck cares about any of that though. We’ve got much bigger fish to fry. Much tastier Pasta to cook. The biggest pay off to a mystery this side of, “who’s Randy Orton chatting to on the phone?”

People spent eleven and a half grand to make pasta with some WWE Superstars. And what did they get for that money? Macaroni with Maxxine Dupree and Ethan Page. Amazing.

I would have preferred Oba to beat Brock, and then to finally finish him off at Summerslam. Think it would have been a nice change of pace for Brock on his last run to have some self doubt going into the final match realising that he has finally come up against someone he can't beat.

Still, Brock beating Oba doesn't do any harm to him, and this is much better than Oba turning up every week and beating the likes of Humberto etc. Hopefully the Summerslam match is a belter.

Expecting some shenanigans in the KOTR tournament to set up the final match at Summerslam,

I looked up the cooking school and a private lesson for 1 (or 2) people is €450.

€11,000 less to not have to cook with Ethan Page and Maxxine Dupree is an incredible bargain.

Sounds like the start of an Italian cookbook. Next is Puttanesca with Paige followed by Ravioli with Roman. If you get all the way to Carbonara with Cody it costs you 80 grand.

I didn't have a problem with Brock beating Oba, it puts a bit of a truly competitive spin on it for me, all personal preference of course but it's like an intense back and forth trilogy between boxers, where one man win's then loses, and then win's the rubber match, which is what I think will happen with Oba at SummerSlam. I take it as Brock was caught cold at WrestleMania, maybe doubting himself a bit, and then last night he was back in his old mindset of no one can do shit to me, and then Oba will have had a taste of Brock at his near best and they will book him to be more wary and then dominant at SummerSlam. When two behemoths lock up it's normal for one to get the better of the other, and then the other one wins before a true decider. And Oba came out looking great, it wasn't a squash, he took a drubbing in there before losing. 

And holy shit that price to cook with some of the WWE lot is absolutely mind bending.
