DazzM Posted May 29 Posted May 29 The name for this show just irritates me. It's as if they couldn't be arsed to think of a better way and that they must rigidly stick to the "Clash" name. There's tons of Italian "C" words that could be alliterated to make it sound better. Like Calzone, Cannoli, Cannelloni. Quote

Paid Members Supremo Posted May 30 Paid Members Posted May 30 (edited) Clash at the Castle. Clash at the Castle: Scotland. Bash in Berlin. Clash in Paris. Clash in Italy. It’s almost impressive how they refuse to stick to a format and change it every time. Sometimes it’s castle-centric. Sometimes it’s the country. Sometimes it’s the city. Sometimes it’s a Bash rather than a Clash. They’re giving the Fast & Furious franchise a run for its money for changing the name structure with each instalment. Next year will be The Clash and The Furious. The Rock will return at C9: The Clash Saga. It’s such a bizarrely stacked card, which I’m sure will have some type of story behind it. Did ESPN bollock them after Mania was such a wet fart? Is Triple H panicking? Or did enough people take a pay cut that they’ve now got a surplus to waste on featuring Cody, Roman, Rhea and Brock on the same B show? Biggest story is obviously that VIP package where you could spend eleven fucking grand to make some pasta with a superstar. That’s the scoop I’m looking for. Same as the Cody bus tour at Mania. These bonkers packages are far more interesting than anything they could put on television. I simply cannot rest until I find out every single detail about Tagliatelle with Tyler Bate. d-d-d-dAz Posted May 30 Posted May 30 Be interesting to see how they book around Fatu being injured (apparently). Maybe this is the time for Danhausen to unveil the resurrected Karrion Kross-hausen. Pay off that time Triple H inexplicably decided to re-debut him in the middle of the Drew/Roman feud. He tapped his wrist then. Think the clock is still ticking, the poor sod. Quote
DavidB6937 Posted May 30 Posted May 30 Hopefully the machine goes wrong and we get Santino instead. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted May 30 Paid Members Posted May 30 Can Santino still wrestle? If they’re trying to build their tag division by bringing back lads on the cheap, I wouldn’t mind a Santino-Hausen run. ”Ah, Daniel the Hausen, you sum of a gun!” Quote

His polar opposite. Strong, wholesome, family friendly, kissing babies heads aesthetic but secretly a dastardly villain. The antihausen. Very Nasty. Very Good. Quote

Given it was said during an ESPN appearance to promote the PPV you obviously have to take it with a big old pinch of salt, but FWIW Cody said this week he viewed the annual Clash/Bash show in Europe as having supplanted Survivor Series as one of their current Big Four. Don’t know if that’s a generally held view in the company. Quote

I've got so used to them drip-feeding big matches, which I get when you don't have to worry about buyrates but this seems to have come out of nowhere. Since WrestleMania they've also started giving the first hour of PLE's away free on ESPN which I assume is to try and boost the number of fans buying the ESPN Unlimited package to watch the rest of the show. I feel like it has to be due to ESPN's rumoured disappointment, they signed a $1.6 billion five-year deal, with WreslePalooza being the first PLE on ESPN in September last year. I wonder if ESPN have some kind of get-out clause after a year which might encourage WWE to try and put more effort into the PLEs. It will be interesting to see what they give us going forward, although we've got Night of Champions in Saudi next (usually an outlier anyway) followed by SummerSlam. Quote
DavidB6937 Posted May 30 Posted May 30 I'm really intrigued how they'll look in the post ESPN and even post Netflix era. They've almost catfished their way to massive deals and surely they're not doing nearly enough to warrant them carrying on. Quote

They managed to get onto Netflix. They are running out of media apps and stations though. Quote

The severity of the injury could play a part as if it's a say, s 3 month one or more, he won't be able to make summerslam either. An angle to write him off, somehow. Roman punk fued again to get the numbers? Have Roman turn back heel along with both usos if they collectively attack Jacob ? Then upon jacobs teturn maybe turn solo and the mfts face in retribution? They did tease Royce keys as a friend of jacobs so i guess he could either be the jealous friend who takes him out or the good friend helping him on his return I don't think Punk is coming back anytime soon. I'd just put Knight in there. Quote
