Including the fridge?

No. Toaster, air fryer, kettle. Microwave is overlooked, not sure why.

I know some old crusty will still have it down their cargo pants, but bush weed. I'd like to pick out the stems and seeds and laze through a bedsheet of the stuff maybe two Saturdays a month.

I'm the person who goes to Dutch coffeeshops and gets the Jamaican Outdoor.

"You know this is very weak?"

"Perfect."

Because resetting the clock is a 5-7 business days proposition.

I miss them long endless days in the summer when youre growing up, riding off on your BMXs or mountain bikes to nowhere in particular but somehow you always ended up having a good time, it was total chaos and often hilarious. And I miss the house party era, it got to friday and you'd be wrapping up whatever you were doing, job or college and the ol' phone calls would be flying about, people would be deciding do they want a crate or should we go halves on a bottle of something and then it would just be more chaos, I personally enjoyed house parties more than nightclubs and pubs, but would 100% take a pub over a club.

I sometimes miss the people we've made connections with over the years as well, good people, and often wonder where they are now and how theyre doing, mad how you can go through rough times with certain people and then everyone drifts apart for whatever reason.

Sorry it’s dark but I’ve just taken this photo. You see the road that goes straight ahead into the distance? That is essentially the start of a bypass around my little town that was built when I was a kid.

It’s pretty long and has a summit with a lovely big but gentle descent on both sides

When I was a kid I lived in the housing estate which is just a bit further on the road as you’re looking at it, and the new road joined the road that was at the back of my house

My Dad was on the tippers at the time and him and a few other trucks at his depot tipped all the tarmac for it.

So as soon as school finished I’d bike home as fast as I could and catch the main man in action delivering the final load of tarmac for the day. He’d give me a thumbs up and the rest of the workmen would shout and wave at me and I felt like part of the team! That’s a big deal for a ten year old! I can still smell the tar and the dust and the oil and the fumes even now when I think about it

BUT that was not the highlight. Having this brand new road being built right nearby meant as soon as the workmen left it was OUR road! Me, Aid, Hally, Westy, Bear, Lay, Barty, Haz and everyone else on the estate would get our roller blades / scooters / bikes etc out and assemble like the Avengers at the top of the hill.

Someone would shout go and that was it, we were off! Flying down this freshly laid tarmac, smooth as glass, no traffic or pedestrians to worry about. It was absolutely glorious! We would just do it over and over until the sun went in and then go home daydreaming about getting back on it the following day.

It only lasted a couple of weeks but man it was a beautiful few weeks.

Now I’ve bought a house at the bottom of the road and that picture was taken from my daughter’s bedroom. Some days I sit on her bed just staring at the road and reminiscing about those days. I would love to go back.

So yeah, I desperately miss that period in my life every time I look out the window

Brilliant story mate, and I get the sense of seeing something that is yours, and you and people youre close too played a part in it.

Ive spent a life in construction from a boy to a man, bricklaying, with a bit of roofing and fencing etc along the way, and I drive past things and the memories, people and laughs just come flooding back. Also have an absolute hoot driving round with the kids or my nieces and nephews, pointing at things,  'I built that!'

The feeling of excitement and anticipation I had for things while growing up.  From big things like Christmas or the summer holidays to everyday things like going out at the weekend or looking forward to Raw and Nitro every Friday.  I can vividly remember so many examples from my childhood but can't remember the last time I truly looked forward to something in that way.  And that's not because life is shit or anything like that (we still go to plenty of gigs, go on holiday etc.) but it just doesn't feel the same.  Adulting can be shit.

I miss not knowing if trailers are genuine or fan-made AI.

This was part of my daily routine when I was a child. I’d get up, have cereal, play Bamboozle and lose within the first three questions. Then keep doing the quiz until I got them all right and unjustifiably feel like a brainbox.

The amount of hours I must have spent on Bamboozled! I loved Ceefax/Teletext in general. I had the pages I would check daily, very much a precursor to my future internet usage

In addition to CTX's post about just being excited and looking forward to things when you were younger, I recently found a few random N64 magazines at my parents house, and I can definitely remember the thrill of hearing your magazine being posted through the letterbox, or knowing that a new one was out in WH Smiths. I guess back then there wasnt a tonne of information at your fingertips, so the thought of getting new content that you haven't read before was a proper buzz, and actually anticipating that the review you knew they were doing that month, for a game you wanted, was hopefully going to be a good one was a thrill too. Can still remember the excitement me and my friends had for the Zelda: Ocarina of Time review that N64 Magazine would do, and then all of us being gutted that they didnt even give it a score as they hadnt played it enough.

Not to ramble on, but as this is a wrestling forum; on a similar vein to the above, I do miss the anticipation and excitement of getting the latest tapes that the traders would have. Was like Christmas when you knew Strong Style Tapes or Pickstar had sent the latest Puro or ROH video to you. You just dont that feeling or a simpler time any more, do you. Certainly something to miss.

There's a question, or some variation of it, about if you could have a meal with a famous person or one person then who would it be. People say the likes of Orson Welles or John Lennon or someone. I always say that I'd love to have lunch with my nan and tea with my gran. They passed away over a decade ago and like the now many people in my family who are no longer here are very much missed.
