Paid Members BomberPat Posted February 11 Paid Members Posted February 11 I know that it's limited to what they have access to, and to what each match can introduce both in terms of escalating difficulty and possible unlockable stuff, but it's mental to start a career retrospective with a match that happened while Punk was already World Champion! It feels like it's a missing a big point of what Punk's selling point is supposed to be, as this guy who fought from outside the system and "changed the culture", who was never supposed to make it, starting the career mode once he was already fully established. Fair enough, they're probably not going to bother getting the rights for half the scrubs Punk was fighting in ECW, and they can't do that Survivor Series match where he was getting cheered over the Hardys and DX because it had Edge in it, but there's an Attitude Era/Monday Night Wars theme, so maybe they could have got the rights to Hardcore Holly or Test, to do one of those matches? Or an early house show match with someone like Randy Orton, to show the dynamic between the guy the company was prepared to put everything behind vs. "the outsider"? Or some indie matches with earlier versions of people already in the game, like AJ Styles? And, yeah, not being able to do the biggest CM Punk match is very funny, but that match had Vince and Johnny Ace all over it, and I guess they can't swap them both out for The Enforcer. Quote

Give me the OVW title match with Brent Albright and I might buy this game. Quote

You have to make your way to Wembley and throw Jungle Boy off the arch. There are 356 levels and the final boss on all of them is Seth Rollins. Quote

Paid Members Scratch Posted February 14 Paid Members Posted February 14 (edited) I’m totally aware of me being a hypocrite and all, given my stance on WWE and not spending and time or money on them for a few years now, but my mate gifted me his Humble Bundle WWE 2k25 steam key and it’s loads of fun. I’m playing on Steam Deck using the Lossless Scaling app and it looks superb and runs happily at 120fps. I only play one-on-one matches, and currently have an awesome little back-and-forth between Razor Ramon and Mr Perfect for the IC title. I like the controls, there’s loads you can do and it’s a great pickup and play game. I know the WWE games get some hate, but for what it’s worth, I’ve found 2k25 to be a bit of a belter. Zaheer Posted February 16 Posted February 16 (edited) This is the greatest WWE game of all time. Purely because Nick Aldis is a playable character and his theme is the one we made for him. I don't even care if the game is bad 😆 Dream come true !!! Oh in terms of actual news for the game both Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce are actually playable characters in this year's edition.
