It should have been in Paris, but at least they’re doing the Cena vs. AJ match. A step in the right direction on what’s been the worst, most cursed run imaginable. You wonder who put their foot down and said, “can we at least do one decent thing before time runs out?” Maybe John himself.

I’ve got high hopes. It’s a mad thing to even say in 2025, but given how he’s re-discovered his US-Title-Open-Challenge, definitely-borrowing-ROH-DVDs-from-Kevin-Owens form in the last month or so, Cena will probably end up giving AJ his best match in years.

I bought tickets to Perth last week, loving the card so far!

Cena vs. AJ especially is a great treat. I kinda thought we might've got Cena vs. Waller, cocky young heel calls out the legend in his home country, but not mad at all about what we're getting instead.

Funnily enough, the last time I saw Cena wrestle a singles match live was against AJ Styles, in Sydney in 2016.

My guess is that Roman beats Bronson, but Bronson attacks him afterwards so they can do the "never seen before" stretcher job on Reigns.

Then Reigns returns at Survivor Series in the War Games match against them.

All too predictable.

If we don't get a "That's not a knife" standoff situation, then the whole street fight will be ruined!

Bring back Big Show's massive chair!

Apparently it's reported there making Roman Vs Bronson the main event....

Which makes me think two things....one they are doing something post match to finish the ppv off (probably the vision standing tall celebrating for the 800th time)

And they literally have no respect or faith in making Seth Vs Cody...champ Vs champ the top spot being it's both main title holders in it which makes sense.

Is it just me that feels every time they do this it weakens the world championships and the people holding them??

I’d imagine it’s more because it’s in Australia and Bronson is an Aussie. They did it last time with Rhea vs Nia when they were in Australia for a PPV(The only time women have main evented a non Evolution show).

If they do that I’m assuming it’s simply because Bronson is Australian. I don’t personally have a problem with them doing that, beats the McMahon trope of humiliating people in their home country/town.

EDIT: @Callum1993 got there first!

Quite jazzed for this show.

It’s a huge step up from Wrestlepalooza, which was a real low point for the company in every sense. Creatively bankrupt, rubbish matches, horrible smell of MAGA. A pay per view you’d almost never want to do again for the awful connotations that now surround it. A total Stomping Grounds.

This is much better. Good card. Well built. Not in Saudi. Great start time.

I’m not at all surprised to read reports today that there’s been some type of creative shakeup. You can feel it in the last few weeks of television. There’s been a quiet return to form.

I’m convinced half the reason things have improved is because the boys are back in town, with Cody and Roman returning as main characters. Unlike Seth, who strikes me as a snivelling jobsworth who’ll accept any old shite, Cody and Roman seem like genuine superstars who demand some actual substance in their storylines. It was like someone turned a switch on the last few weeks. Clever interconnecting tissue and callbacks to old lore. All with belter video packages tying it all together. This one video package is better than everything else Seth Rollins has done in the last six months combined.

You can tell things have took a slight upturn because I’m actually hoping Seth wins! As much as War Games is a mostly flawed concept, if we have to do it I’m hoping for some type of Vision vs. WWE All Stars match. Imagine Punk, Roman, Cody and LA Knight in the shark cage, all giving each other side-eyes and dirty looks! We’ll be so back!

However, I won’t get too excited. Whilst there’s a slight sense of momentum building and loads of potentially good stuff on the horizon, I can’t shake the feeling that this year’s War Games is being built specifically around the inevitable staredown between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar. Paul Heyman probably already practising his SHOCKED face in the mirror, wanking himself silly.

I predict a tough few months for us Roman Reigns Superfans. A trying time if you want to acknowledge your Tribal Chief.

That Perth crowd was quite lively.

Great show top to bottom. Best Crown Jewel and it's not even close.

It wasn't in Saudi so it was already going to be the best Crown Jewel even if they'd shit the bed in every match.
