Agree with a lot of the people mentioned here. Especially Richard Osman. Sam Campbell and Shappi Khorsandi have been very funny on panel shows and I only ever see them then so they haven’t reached any irritating levels yet.

Before his recent cancellation, it was Gregg Wallace. You have your usual offenders always turning up like Romesh Ranganathan and Katherine Ryan seemingly showing up everywhere and are a turn off.

But for actors, it’s Daniel Mays. Something looks good that you want to watch? Oh what’s that, Daniel Mays has a significant role in it? No thanks.

Does it make a difference that Stephen Fry probably stews in his own juices over the fact that so many soundalikes make an alright living doing his voice for commercials on the TV and radio?

For me, a guy I loved but just can't watch these days is Louis Theroux. Not entirely based on him, but a lot of his shows don't age well given the subject material being unpleasant. Not enjoyable to watch. Beyond that, when he started doing podcasts and sucking up to celebrities and interviewing them I was not up for watching them. I'd rather watch him interview a "reverend" channelling a space alien or Sarge making him puke back in the Weird Weekends days.

Deal or no deal. It’s been on for 20 years and I honestly don’t know where they find these mentalists who believe they have an emotional connection with a cardboard box.

That Cumberbatch fella. I cannot stand his stupid annoying, smug face. He might be a brilliant actor, but I'll never know and don't want to either. Managed to convince herself to switch from his film with Olivia Coleman to Caught Stealing last weekend due to my hatred of him.

The smuggiest smug picture of Smaug.

It’s why he was the perfect fit to play Doctor Strange in the Marvel films

Mine is food critic Jay Rayner, anytime that smug cunt appears on Masterchef it’s instantly a ruined episode. Matt Tebbutt on Saturday Kitchen comes a close second, how he’s managed to host that show for so long I don’t know, painfully unfunny and I’m pretty sure he fixes the votes for the heaven/hell menu vote for the guest celeb based on what he thinks is better for the show

Bad news for you sunshine that Matt Tebbutt is the new presenter of Celebrity Masterchef. You might get chance to hate him and Jay Rayner at the same time.

I never watch the Celeb one anyway so I’m safe there

Master Chef has always been shit. In fact, may I also nominate the abundance of cooking shows that have people fannying about saying “yes chef” every 5 seconds. Just fuck off.

Most of mine have already been mentioned - Richard Osman, Stephen Fry, Miranda Hart et. Basically anyone who comes (or potentially could come) under the label of "BBC light entertainment" pisses me right off. Smug, desperately unfunny, think they are incredibly witty and completely creatively bankrupt. See the exact same people in every show consistently for about 20 years now. The only time I ever watch terrestrial telly is when I visit my parents and every time they turn it on it's the exact same fucking twats being smug, unfunny and twattish.

I'll throw in one that hasn't come up yet - Jimmy Carr. His act is beyond tired. His jokes were slightly funny 20 years ago maybe and he's still doing the exact same jokes. His pathetic lazy attempts to be offensive and shocking. Boring rubber faced goon doing the same old boring shit.

If you're getting wound up to such a degree by virtually everybody on television, maybe that's a 'you' problem?

What an incredibly weird post.

If Ricky Gervais is in or on something, I'm not going to watch it and that has always been my default stance with him. I acknowledge that Karl Pilkington is funny (while also clearly being a real life twat) but I can't watch anything with him in by association.
