The thread is about people you hate/can't stand watching so that's what I posted about - didn't expect it to be turned against me for some reason. Edited September 11, 2025 by LaGoosh Quote
Paid Members Arch Stanton Posted September 11, 2025 Paid Members Posted September 11, 2025 It was a joke, not a dig! You said you hated virtually every light entertainer on prime time telly! Quote

You picked the whole of BBC light entertainment. To be honest it didn't even come across as a dig. Quote
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted September 11, 2025 Paid Members Posted September 11, 2025 (edited) Ah, ok. It didn't read like a joke to me but tone can often be misunderstood on here. Moving on... Edited September 11, 2025 by LaGoosh Quote

I acknowledge that Karl Pilkington is funny (while also clearly being a real life twat) but I can't watch anything with him in by association. I will still stand by The Office and Extras, and I even have time for the cartoon Ricky Gervais show, but that's mainly down to Karl. I don't think many things have ever made me laugh more than the Clive Warren episode. It's genuinely hilarious. Again, he's someone who fits the criteria of what I was aiming for with the thread. Someone I used to really enjoy, but now cannot stand. Quote

I used to just mute the TV as soon as I heard his voice to be able to watch Idiot Abroad as it was a great show. Also was watching the film Stardust and had no idea he was going to be in it and it really ruined it for me when he turned up. I literally jumped out of my seat and cheered when his character got killed. Quote
Paid Members Jazzy G Posted September 11, 2025 Paid Members Posted September 11, 2025 McIntyre isn't my cup of tea. I've never been a fan of Ricky Gervais, although I did used to confuse him with Ricky Grover. Milton Jones is like Tim Vine on valium. I love Tim Vine, Milton Jones is fine, I guess. Jeremy Vine, however... Quote
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted September 11, 2025 Paid Members Posted September 11, 2025 I would have put Russell Howard in this topic until a few months ago but I really liked him on Taskmaster and he came across really well. #TeamFunk Quote
Paid Members Jazzy G Posted September 11, 2025 Paid Members Posted September 11, 2025 I saw Russell Howard live in two consecutive years. His warm-up guy did the exact same routine both times. Never liked Russell Brand. He was almost bearable in the early days of Big Brother's Bit On The Side or whatever it was called, but I think that was more because of the other people on the show and him not getting anywhere near as much air time. Paid Members Arch Stanton Posted September 11, 2025 Paid Members Posted September 11, 2025 (edited) Haha surely Russell Brand goes without saying in a thread like this!? Edited September 11, 2025 by Arch Stanton Quote

Paid Members Carbomb Posted September 11, 2025 Paid Members Posted September 11, 2025 I'll say Russell Peters. I've nothing against him, just wanted to complete the Russell Group. Quote

RedTwoster Posted September 11, 2025 Posted September 11, 2025 Mel Giedroyc. I find her so insufferably irritating and unfunny that I’m slightly distressed that no one has mentioned her yet. I have to switch off anything she’s on, she typically ruins it. Ditto for David Walliams, with his dated ‘laugh at me because I’m pretending to be gay’ gimmick. It’s not funny, and neither is he.
