boshealecta Posted July 22, 2025 Posted July 22, 2025 I’m working my way through WWF/E Netflix in order atm, so PPVs then RAWs, Smackdowns etc. Currently on Survivor Series 2000 so the IYH PPVs have ended, but I do miss the names. Everything now is Judgement Day and No Mercy. Was fun to have a name just for that one PPV, like Cold Day in Hell or Revenge of the Taker. What subheadings could they use now? Only difference, they aren’t kept to 2 hours. This years In Your Houses would have been Titanium Tussle In Toronto, The Stupendous St Louis Set-To, Dangling Donnybrooks In The Dome and Rambunctious Riyadh. But an awful show. I don't mind this one. Main Event is an absolute classic, so the rest could have been modern day shite and it'd still be a good PPV. It isn't though, you've got the mad Ahmed match/angle, the hog pen match that isn't good but is a sight to see, Owen getting Diesel's new character over and then you've got to sit through a boring Taker match. But absolutely miles above IYH4 and some of the other crap discussed in the last 2 pages. Quote

Wow, I forgot all about this shitty finish. It does at least add an extra irony to Rock regaining the title from Mankind at the Rumble even though he didn’t submit either. But I’m grasping at straws, and they didn’t mention Rock Bottom on TV in the, umm, one broadcast between the Rumble and Halftime Heat. Much like The SummerSlam 98, there seems to be fuzz and contrast issues on it that make it look worse than any other shows around it during the era. Quote
