Won't be watching those just something I saw.

Give over, this years build has suffered massively not having him involved. Look at last years how he saved that. That beat down of Cody outside with the belt last year was the best thing they did.

Just because one or two get in tears on here over his involvement doesn't make them correct.

I'm Mr Tears.

He's shite, and his contribution to this year's show has actually made the main event immeasurably worst. What was the point? Why was he there? How does it explain the subsequent story that Cena turned because he doesn't like the fans?

Absolute nonsense by a massive veiny egg who just wants to be involved for the sake of being involved.

Last year they created chicken soup from the chicken shit HE created by trying to dip his Brahma Bull into the main event.

I'd watch a 9 hour show of Rollins v Rollins (with Seth Rolins as special ref and ring announce and commentator) if it meant The Rock stayed away a bit longer.

Just stay on Instagram posting pictures of rubiks cubes or whatever it is he does.

Depends how you look at it.

Anecdotally, I saw and heard quite a lot of talk about historic WWE content on Netflix initially from lapsed fans, and even from some who watched that first Raw, but I haven't heard anything really since. Interesting to hear your experience of it. I'm sure there will be a lot more eyes with it being so accessible on Netflix but I've personally not seen or heard any chatter since Jan.

Yeah, there's people as well who had a punt at it all from the McMahon doc and the Vault stuff, who aren't bothering with it at the moment.

Two people who have been on about 'Mania lately are likely brought back in from the Cenas last run stuff, nostalgia for lots of people, and then Cenas actual heel turn made it more interesting.

It isn't loads of buzz, granted, when I say fair few I'm only about 6 people really that i know of ?, so it isn't like 30 casuals buzzing for the Thrilla in Manilla, but any chat with anyone about pro wrestling in real life beyond about 1 or 2 people seems like a big deal ?

Other than 2020 and 2021, this will be the first Wrestlemania since 2016 where I haven't been in town.  I'm actually just really looking forward to watching it all (Smackdown, HOF, NXT, Mania, Raw) at home on Netflix/YouTube with some snacks, the fact that it's over Easter weekend makes it even better for Sunday night.

My own personal favourite was sugary stuff, pop and snacks surrounded by friends when Mania was one night and just short enough that you could get through it live without feeling too burned out.

This year, since it’s Easter, I’m not getting the usual chance to watch in the mornings while Mrs raid exercises so for chance to squeeze watching everything I want in instalments, I’ll probably finish watching by early May.

It’s daily, now.

The Wrestlemania 41 press tour has become that promo Kurt Angle cut where he said he wants America to lose the war in Iraq, the best country in the world is France, he isn’t a fan of, “the black people,” and if he could go back in time to make anyone tap out, it’d be Jesus.

It’s honestly enough to think they’re doing it on purpose. Distract everyone from how piss poor the promotion has been by confirming everyone involved is a stupid dickhead.

Might as well send Booker T out for some last minute, go-home press.

Have some very fond memories of the one night 'Manias with friends, exactly as you described

It definitely hasn't been the same since it's a 2 night job.

Saw Reigns’ Trump opinions wash up in the Trump thread, but I hope they don’t distract too much from his Janel shaming.

Did they hire a new PR team or something? its been tone deaf interviews all week. I always assumed most wrestlers were idiots, but no need to go out and 100% confirm it lads.  Especially in the week of your biggest show of the year.

I don't know if it's true at all but I read the guy who was doing their PR was promoted recently to being head of talent relations or something like that.

So it's someone different running their PR and whoever it is, they're doing a truly horrendous job.

I cannot believe what I'm seeing, every few hours there's some new awful interview released with someone from the WWE.

At least we still have Punk not being an idiot.

"I don't think the company wants us to be outwardly political. I don't think, and I do feel there is probably different rules for different people. I don't talk about politics with Triple H, Paul Heyman, Roxanne Perez. It's 24/7 wrestling. I think it's pretty obvious what my 'politics' are. I've never understood Democratic or Republican glazing President. [The] President should just do his job. If you're wearing hats and shirts promoting the President and all that stuff, and we have very much seen recently all these people who have voted against their best interests because they thought this President was just going to do bad stupid shit to the people they don't like. I can sort of draw a line in the sand and say when Elon Musk is throwing Zieg Heil up and the podium, and I see people make excuses for that, nope. We saw what you did. Don't gaslight me, I'm not as fucking stupid as you are. I know what you did so I know what you are. Now I know where you stand, and this is where I stand.

"It's a strange, ugly world out there. The only thing I can do is be true to myself and implement and be a voice for myself and my family and my community, and then the world. I don't know what people want from us as entertainers. I'm just supposed to quit my job because somebody on Twitter says WWE is a 'MAGA company?' Okay. You're on Lord Elon Musk's fucking Twitter saying stupid shit. Shut the fuck up. What have you done? I've done a lot, I just don't broadcast it. I put my money where my mouth is, and the money I make goes to helping impoverished people. I don't need to write my name in on a fuckign GoFundMe to make me feel better about the shity person I am. I will always move as myself. Sometimes I can crash like water and sometimes I can be still."

I'm not certain of the facts but the story I'd seen is slightly different, the guy who was doing the PR was also given the head of talent relations role, and as a result is trying to do two things at once. There's some crossover in that as part of relations you can say "don't go out and say stupid things to the press" but he may be too busy trying to ensure Charlotte is happy with her personal hairdresser*

*not a knock on her, she was the only female member of the roster I could think of in the moment
