From the files of "time doesn't half fly when you get older" - just realised this will be the SIXTH two-night Wrestlemania.

Which makes it the 5th one since the Undertaker retired.

And 4 years since Samoa Joe in a poncho.

The one with Joe in a poncho was almost cancelled too due to mad weather in Florida.

I always wondered people's take on the pandemic wrestlemania, with all this take of what constitutes a wrestle mania "main event" er, do people think of Drew as a 'mania main event?

Drew vs Big Show was the TRUE main event of Mania 36

No I don't anyone's implying he's to blame for Covid, I'm asking does his main eventing count, when there was no one to draw. I guess purely by definition of closing the show he is a WM maineventer.

Of course it counts. Just because he wasn't in front of a crowd he was still wrestling in the closing match of Wrestlemania, in what was probably the most watched PPV of the year.

Drew won the Royal Rumble and then won the WWE title from Brock Lesnar in the last match of WrestleMania 36. It’s not really a question.

It's not like they picked that main event because it was empty arena and it gave them a chance to try something a bit out of the box.

It can't have been much more than 10 days or so before the original date they were forced to pivot to doing it in the PC. The match was already set, and most of the tickets they were likely to sell were sold. Drew was main eventing that show whatever.

Depends how you look at it.

Nasty Boys were a pre show dark match that nobody would have known about for years until footage appeared on the Internet.

Drew facing Big Show after he beat Brock was made quite clear that it happened after Wrestlemania the next night on Raw.

So Therfore that for me could make it a wrestlemania main event.
