Tremendous. Hyde Street has taken a while to get going but I'm all in now. The Family Odyssey is widely considered for a teen market. I like the Rocketfellers quite a bit mind you.

However The Unnamed is where it's really at. If you've yet to check it out the Junkyard Joe tpb had a tear in my eye. Geiger, Redcoat and Rook are more often than not my top reads of the month.

Also how damn good is the art in Rook right? It's very good across all Ghost Machine but Rook takes the biscuit.

@Chest RockwellMaybe get a subscription to MarvelUnlimited? It's digital comics but has pretty much everything they've published. I think there's like a 3 month embargo on the newest stuff, but there's 80 years' worth of back issues to wade through. First two months are half price. I think it's a tenner a month, but you can do the annual deals etc.

Back when I was buying comics, me and the guy at the local shop would often say "the world needs more Peter David".

It's sad that today the world has 100% less Peter David in it.

I had a read of some of the Disney/Marvel crossover comics that were done for Disney's centenary last year. There are recreations/parodies of the first issue of Avengers, Fantastic Four, and Captain Marvel. Then I read the "What If Donald Duck was Wolverine" and it was a parody of/homage to Old Man Logan. Mickey was Hawkeye, Goofy was the Hulk, Pete was Red Skull. It was fun. The Minnie as Captain Marvel one was pretty fun as well. Nice easy reads. 

I've been loving Jeff The Land Shark as well, and Marvel Meow.

I’ve had the bright idea of reorganising my entire comic collection. At the moment it’s all separated into publishers and then alphabetised. But now I want to organise them into individual characters, team books, events etc. And I want to put them all into smaller boxes because the long boxes will one day cause my back to explode. Anyone else have any organising tips, horror stories, do’s and don’ts?

Keep it simple if you can. Once you start going down the character route or team ups etc, you'll end up with far too many "but should it go here or here?" fights in your brain that it'll keep you up at night.

I’ve thought about this. Probably too much.

Amazing Spider-Man, Superior Spider-Man, Spectacular Spider-Man etc will all be together. Same with all the various X-Men books. I’m going to have a separate section for team-ups (Spider-Man/Wolverine, Cable/Deadpool and the like). But then I wondered what I would do with a vs book. Thanos Vs Hulk, Predator Vs Wolverine. So they’re getting their own box. Unless it’s an event like Avengers Vs X-Men which will be separated again. Ultimate Marvel stuff might have to live apart from the rest, and then there’s 2099 issues to consider. With a miscellaneous section for all the random stuff that doesn’t fit anywhere else. “Keep it simple if you can”. Alas, I cannot.

Went to Mega-Con in Manchester yesterday and picked up The Crimson Cage. It's a retelling of Macbeth set in the 80's Territories. It's about as straight ahead an adaptation as you could get and the wrestling stuff is tropey as you like but there's a real love evident for both it's constituent parts as well as a big walloping streak of Southern Gothic horror. 

It's pretty good and well worth a look.

As an aside the whole vibe of cons is getting depressing. There are barely any indy comics or indeed much of any meaningful retail anymore. 90% of all the stalls are the same, selling variations of the same 'Cozy Aesthetic' prints and stickers in the same sub manga art style. Barely even a Todd McFarlane figure in sight!

That could be interesting. Is it a graphic novel or a series?

I'm after a copy of the MASK Revolution TPB by IDW. It was a 6 part series printed in 2016. If anyone spots one. Please let me know.

Crimson Cage is great. I've met the writer John Lees a couple of times. Super nice guy. Highly recommend his current ongoing series Sink. It's awesome.

Re cons. The best con for artists/writers is easily Thought Bubble. There are hardly any venders there so actually buying books your better off at the London Comic Mart but if you want to go to a con and meet Indie and major writers/artists Thought Bubble is the one in the UK.

Adding to the enjoyment of Crimson Cage. Also liked his Video Nasty series, even if it was frustratingly unfinished on Comixology.
