You're not wrong but I think Shafir has been good in the role. She looks the business and she's believable. She benefits from the association by being tied to the top act and featured in the main angles every single week. Personally,  it doesn't bother me that she's not wrestling.

100% agree. Last thing we need is another Chyna. Shafir is brilliant and should stay in her lane.

I'd support any criticism of the fact that Dynamite still only has one women's match every week but as a whole.

And that was what I was, obviously badly, referring to. I think they have some incredible talent, but they don't get the time to shine like they should.

Yeah for sure. I've always thought that if they shaved off 2 minutes off every match on Dynamite it would not only improve the matches but it would give them enough time for an additional womens TV match.

But how many mardy bastards would you have to deal with because you've taken 2 minutes off them. Wrestlers get sulky when they get less time than they think they should.

And that's when the boss starts acting like the boss, instead of trying to be everyones mate.

Then again TK is probably a fan of "epic" matches himself, which is why so much goes so long.

Guy references cagematch ratings FFS.

I’d go as far as to say the women’s division is my favourite thing in AEW right now. I’d love to see the wrestlers get more screen time. Toni Storm is arguably the best character in the company, Harley Cameron is incredibly entertaining, Mariah May is doing a great job as champion, Mercedes Mone is having incredible matches (even though her character work is as bad as her wrestling is good), Statlander has grown leaps and bounds as a performer and there are countless others who have shown their value just sitting on the sidelines - or relegated to ROH in the cases of Athena and Billie Starkz.

Collision was low key one of the best episodes of pro-wrestling television this year. I had a tonne of fun, there’s momentum building everywhere, and there was an obvious attempt to fix the few problems that are still plaguing them. Excellent stuff.

Good opening promo. Probably the best night Moxley’s had since he beat Bryan Danielson. More of this, please.

Excellent, action-packed Trios match. It’s a tale as old as time. Whenever they actually remember they have a Trios division, it always stands out as their version of WCW’s Cruiserweight division. Easy mode for a booker. Endless feuds and matches that allow you to fill TV time with crazy, fun spot-fests that always have the crowd going bonkers. Adam Cole is infinitely better in this position. Daddy Magic doing commentary during his match ruled. All the pieces are finally falling into place. I hope they switch the belts on Wednesday. Undisputed Kingdom vs. LFI for the belts! Get it booked!

Laugh-out-loud funny how quickly they put the graphic up for Undisputed Era vs. The Death Riders. once they’d issued the challenge. Must have been less than ten seconds. They need to get Guinness World Records involved. The speed of their graphics department is incredible!

Good FTR vignette. It had never really occurred to me before, but Hurt Syndicate vs. FTR could be class.

Super fun match between Bandido and Brian Kieth. The ten paces spot was amazing. Loved how the crowd popped for it. Nothing better than everyone delighting in the daftness of pro-wrestling simultaneously.

Speaking of pro-wrestling daftness, Mariah May and Toni Storm’s segment was one hundred percent my jam. Everything I love about pro-wrestling. Super creative silliness, performed completely straight. Toni Storm fucking rules. The switcheroo itself was already genius, but the way her lifeless head twists into that smile is phenomenal. Made all the better by Mariah’s outstanding sell. Like something out of Evil Dead. Genuinely terrifying.

The perfect callback to when it felt like Mariah was holding Toni’s lifeless, dicaptated head after the shoe angle. What a great bit of business. These two deserve the Main Event at Grand Slam.

Harley Cameron continues to deliver. I’d honestly consider switching the belt. Even if it’s just for the short term. Imagine the pop! Feel the wrath!

Loved Hologram’s return. Seeing him bust out that spinning Tit-a-whirl under the blue lights, it’s the first time I ever understood what they were trying to do all those years back with Sin Cara and his weird lighting. Hologram looked boss. Bang up for  Hologram and Komander entering the Tag division.

Excellent backstage stuff to keep the other stories simmering. Ricochet being a fantastic little prick. Buddy and Okada doing a great face off. Wild how much stuff is cooking right now.

Outstanding main event. Frankly criminal that something like that happens under the radar and is forgotten about so quickly. I know I want Moxley’s Title Reign to end as soon as possible, but I would hope they can do a Mox vs. Briscoe TV match before he loses it. Imagine those two having some type of No DQ as a Dynamite main event. Mark Briscoe World Title Nearfalls is my drug of choice.

Yeah, this show ruled. I’ve got that massive smile on my face just remembering it all. Super happy with where AEW is right now and can’t wait for Grand Slam next week. Go back to what made you, Tony. Feel good, happy TV. I’d give the Aussies a clean sweep! Big Castlemaine XXXX beer bath to close the show!

Mariah May is great until she starts talking. Then I struggle to stay awake.

Mox stuff still isn't great but booking him as a mouthy blow hard is much better than the crap that came before.

Won't lie I was a little dsappointed that Hangman wasn't still chasing Max around. A couple of weeks of Hangman stalking Max, like Cowboy Michael Myers could have been a good laugh.

You know that thing where two guys start brawling, then the security breaks them up, the crowd chant, “let them fight,” and then one of them keeps breaking out to get a few more shots in? Yeah, chuck that in the bin, too. I’ve had my fill.

I was wrong. Felt like I needed a cigarette after MJF and Hangman. Fantastic stuff. I think this Hangman Adam Page fella might be quite good at pro-wrestling, you know.

Hang on though. Don’t get too hot, Hangman! There’s a Dementor at large! Chris Jericho watching Bandido and Bryan Keith tear the house down on Saturday doing the ten paces spot, so immediately ripping them off and doing a shitter version on Wednesday. He’s the fucking worst. As if Ricky Starks’ week couldn’t get any better. I bet he was over the moon watching this, safe in the knowledge he’s finally free of the prick…for now.

Another mostly excellent show. It’s not a coincidence that AEW television completely caught on fire the moment Rampage ended and Harley Cameron became a regular character on Dynamite and Collision. Grand Slam should conclude with Toni Storm and Harley Cameron raising gold together, like Benoit and Guerrero at Mania 20. Two most talented performers in the game today.

What a superb episode of wrestling TV. I thought I'd watched nearly the whole show and when I checked on Triller, it was only 55 mins in. Absolute madness. This was a blast, again.

The crowd obviously wasn't big, given the camera angles and lighting, but they were superb. This crowd were so good, you'd think Chris Jericho was an over act. Think about that.

Loved the focus on the trios. There was a slight admission in commentary that it's been a joke but it was back with a bang. Great match too. Roddy Strong looked by far the best of the Vanilla midgets and the Death Riders were brilliant.

I really liked the fewer shorter matches. It helped with the pacing, helped acts who needed it get match and promo time and allowed for two women's matches and an angle.

That Harley Cameron video was outstanding. That Mercedes puppet is hilarious, brilliant lyrics from Harley and then a sharp cut to a great promo. I just wish she was winning.

Hangman & MJF. We back baby. The tease was great again and then all hell broke loose. Lovely stuff in front of the right crowd.

I've never liked Bobby Lashley so much in his entire career. He's an absolute blast in this role. Hurts vs. Buddy & Brody needs to be on that All In card and they need to plot the way there from now. That's the match.

The ending was the weakest part. Honestly, I'm finding the weakest part of this whole angle the fact that Copeland looks about a hundred years old. White is great but I just don't see where he fits. He's almost never the right guy. But he is super entertaining.

I'd say my favourite acts in the promotion currently, in no particular order, are Max Caster, Hangman (obvs), Harley, Mariah, Toni, Hobbs, Bandido, Buddy, Brody, Hurt Syndicate and Renee, if she counts.

Cracking episode, everyone played their parts brilliantly. Well, except Mox, who desperately needs an acting coach if he wants to keep playing this role.

I'm still unsure what 'kind' Dustin Rhodes thinks he's the last of. Genuinely.

I blinked and thought Foley was back for a brief moment.
