She wasn't praised for it anyway, loads of people gave her stick for it, certainly on here. Seems to be a real sticking point when people take against their booking, no matter what their perceived level of talent. There was discussion here recently about Ricky Steamboat walking out on the WWF because he didn't want to job to IRS and Undertaker on the same taping, it occurred to me if that happened now you'd have loads of people going on about how stupid his was and doesn't he know how lucky he is.

Always worth remembering that there are grifters and people with an inflated sense of their own worth at every level of a structure and that often those who trumpet their own value often have an outsize perception of what they actually bring to the table.

I loved Nixon on the Indies but those years in the WWE system have turned her into identikit performance centre alt girl number 3472 and the tag team's main USP appeared to be that they kept stopping wrestling to have a bit of a kiss and cuddle and left themselves open to getting battered. The match with Bayne and Shafir was awkward at times and not just because Shafir is awful when the bell rings, outside of Bloodsport which seems to be the only place she makes sense in a match.

If this is true Alize and Newell have lost far more out of this than AEW have.

I mean, I don’t disagree with the principle of that, but it’s hard not to look at their point here and put your head in your hands. It’s the equivalent of a trial footballer refusing to take part because they’re starting on the bench, or someone with a minor speaking role in Eastenders asking for more screen time. If this had been months of mistreatment or underutilisation that would be one thing - if Nyla Rose, for example, decided to walk I’d be fully behind her; but this just seems like a bad choice.

And you’re choosing to believe these reports from “wrestling media” who are sycophants to the son of the billionaire and print what gets fed to them so they continue to get access and ask softball kayfabe questions at those ridiculous press conferences (sorry “media scrums”). Clearly fans are prepared to easily believe the “petulant, ungrateful women” narrative.

Are you capable of making a counterpoint without doing it in such a snide way, or making snap judgments about people? You once branded me a WWE tribalist, which was something I was perfectly capable of rolling my eyes at. 

In spite of your tendency to do things like that, I always try to disagree with you respectfully, though some might say you don’t necessarily deserve that.

However, I genuinely take offence at you suggesting questioning their judgment comes from a position of sexism. Reports on this situation come from wrestling journalists who tend to be accurate - Sean Ross Sapp being one. I’m not the biggest fan of his persona, but he’s generally correct. 

But let’s say he’s a shaky source. Presumably the women themselves are not - Nixon Newell retweeted a post saying it’s bullshit that they were only given a 4 1/2 minute squash, and Alize retweeted a bunch of similar posts, and some calling for them to get credible wins. I think it’s perfectly reasonable to look at all of that and think ‘hmm, it’s probably true then.’

I know this will probably be an unpopular opinion but I had a massive grin on my from the finish to Mox Vs. Strong. Wonderful pro wrestling silly bollocks. 

If I can deal with any heel faction getting fucked over by the faces, it's the Death Riders. 

Mox to start the match for his team to try and save face perhaps? 

Overall a decent week of TV.

Yeah sorry to say it @RedTwoster but Strong vs Mox was lots of fun and I usually dont enjoy Strong matches. All the wrestling on both shows this week was of an excellent standard, really.

I’m not mad, @LaGoosh - just disappointed. 

But you’ve been overshadowed by @The King Of Swing’s cruel post. I had no idea Strong won until his post, which led to me googling the finish (then throwing up, of course).

I will admit, that up until his most recent gimmick I actually found Strong to be quite a decent wrestler to watch. His match with Chris Jericho during his early days in AEW was surprisingly strong given who he was working with. He had some good matches in NXT too.

My problem with him isn’t so much his wrestling as it is his gimmick, which is genuinely my least favourite ever in wrestling. It’s absolutely awful, likely made worse by the fact AEW doesn’t usually persist with gimmicks that clearly aren’t working. 

And in Strong’s defence, Kyle O’Reilly is just as bad so it’s unfair of me to single him out.
