I kind of liked the women’s blood and guts match at first, but I didn’t like the finish. I don’t think Mina adds much of anything to Storm’s act, and the same goes for Storm to Mina. The finish seemed a bit of a cop-out, really.

Page/Hobbs was fun, and honestly, I think that’s the match they should have gone with at the PPV. Eddie sharing the ring with Hangman once again gives me hope that the end result of this will be a match between the two.

I hated the men’s blood and guts match. I’ve said it before, but it’s just not a match type I enjoy. Kyle O’Reilly being the one to tap out Moxley was the icing on the cake really. Anything that suggests he’ll play a more prominent role going forward has me concerned.

Thing is they were hot as fuck for that finish and playing into the weeks long story of Mox having this white whale with tapping out. Though I didn't enjoy the builds, I thought both were unsurprisingly very fun and crazy matches to watch, and actually have some story beats coming out of it. Kyle O'Reilly is probably getting a C2 spot or something. I actually do like him, If he's going to be employed, I'd rather him be a bit daft a personality than that serious wrestler bollocks trope he gets mired in too much. Even Roderick Strong was watchable.

Women's match I was fine with the finish. It was actually a match the heels could win and be somewhat satisfying as it wasn't really a feud ender match like the men's. Plus you got some stuff coming out of that match too. I can see Willow/Harley and Hart/Skye (who was great in B&G) in that Women's tag final.

I enjoyed the show. First time I’ve watched live in a while. O’Reilly and Skye Blue with big blade jobs. I need to rewatch the women’s match as I was a bit distracted with doing work

I think I’m in the minority on here who likes and has always liked Strong and O’Reilly. O’Reilly getting the submission victory over Moxley was surprising. A good C2 run for him.

Garcia gave Mox a look afterwards that seems like the start of the Death Riders turning on Mox.

Darby table bump was mad.

And don’t think I don’t resent the crowd for that. Look, if KOR became very over and AEW push him as a result, I wouldn’t blame them for that no more than I do WWE for pushing Jey Uso in spite of his limitations.

The thing is, I think they’d have been hot for anyone who had Moxley in that position and they were cheering Moxley tapping out rather than the person who was tapping him out. Perhaps I’m wrong, we’ll see in the coming weeks.

With O’Reilly and Strong, they’ve always been excellent in ring, it’s their characters and utterly witless humour that I find intolerable.

She was. Skye Blue is someone I’ve thought could be a big star for AEW for quite a while…if she was able to nail the mic work, which as of yet she’s not been able to. It’s unfortunate, you have someone young, who is ever-improving in ring and has a cool, relevant look. The one thing she does lack, however, she lacks spectacularly and has a sort-or anti-charisma. I’d say a tag team is the right place for her right now, but she’s paired with someone else who also needs to improve on the mic which probably doesn’t help her much. But hey, Anna Jay has improved in that sense as did Darby Allin and Jack Perry. She’s certainly not a write-off.

She actually reminds me very much of Liv Morgan. Never in a million years would I have thought Liv would be in the position she is now when she first started. But with time and confidence, a lot of talent can find their right spot and I'd actually say Skye arguably has more potential, so I hope it all clicks at some point.

That’s a tremendous comparison that I’d not considered for a second, but you’re spot on. Liv’s problem was the ring-work, which came along significantly.

I think she’d benefit enormously by being paired up with someone who can talk - maybe a heel Willow Nightingale?

Stop trying to make fetch and heel Willow Nightingale happen.

It’s the best move for her career! A heel Willow taking the belt from Stat, before going on to feud with Toni Storm and, eventually, a babyface Mercedes Mone? It’d be brilliant!

RIP Powerhouse Hobbs's arse.

Fucking hell the height he got then literally bouncing up he landed so hard.

He’s got some junk in that trunk, I’m sure he’ll be fine. Really fun match though.

I really enjoyed both B&G’s. I wasn’t a big fan of the women’s finish, but reflecting it wasn’t like there was a really hot angle that needed paying off so it made sense. But they really delivered though in spades. Appreciate Mercedes who loves paying homage to her hero Eddy decided she’s still not going to do one of his infamous blade jobs on the 20th anniversary of his passing.

The men’s was a lot of fun. Don’t think taking out Mark really added anything, seemed pointless in the grand scheme of things. I assume the reason Mox wasn’t Goodfella’d was because of it being on TV and I expect it to happen at Full Gear with Roddy taking a spot in the DR once Claudio takes over.

Delighted Riley got the win. No, it’s not going to lead to a big push, but I think Mox tapping out twice to a lower mid carder shows how weak he is and a liability to the DR’s. His Time is Up, His Time is Now. Enjoy that vacation Jonathan

Going for some sort of body destroying craziness from Darby, either a dive off the top wrapped in something or being thrown off the top through a stacked layer of tables, glass and tacks, set on fire for added stupidity

I don't think any bookie would've given reasonable odds on "Darby doing something stupid in a Blood and Guts match". Fairly sure even Mystic Meg would've guessed that.

Surely Gabe Kidd is the natural choice to succeed Moxley? I don’t dislike Claudio, but I also don’t see him as the right choice to lead a major stable.

And while I acknowledge my irrational dislike of Strong, what makes you think he’d become a Death Rider? Is it simply because of the Shafir connection?

If it’s not Gabe Kidd, I could see it being Eddie Kingston, explaining his slightly odd demeanour right now. Moxley is being beaten down by his former stablemates, Kingston runs down seemingly to help him, and instead turns on Mox. Having him join forces with Claudio would be quite the moment, and it would give the stable the promo guy they need, and AEW a new top heel.

You're living in opposite land. Heel Willow and Face Mercedes is brutal.

Willow is the easiest top face they could ever have! She doesn't need a heel turn to then come back as a face. She's there. She's ready. EVERYONE WANTS TO LOVE HER DAMNIT!

I don’t.

That aside, we all thought the same thing about Hangman, and he was incredible as a heel. And he came back from that heel turn an even bigger babyface than he was before. It was a heel turn that turned Swerve Strickland and Toni Storm into two of the biggest stars in the company, and it did Britt Baker wonders before her limitations were exposed. Willow would be a tremendous heel, she’s super-talented, and it would surely give her scope to move to that next level.

Nah, Mercedes’ strength is her matches, say she loses to Stat, then loses her titles one-by-one, causing her to hit rock bottom. You have a great story in waiting as she looks to pick herself back up and get to that top level once again. She doesn’t even need to say much, all she needs to do is keep wrestling great matches which I’m sure she would. Whether Willow turns or not, I think Mercedes would be better off as a babyface sooner rather than later.
