This weekend left me super depressed as a pro-wrestling fan. I really needed this. Look at this man. No-one should be this attractive.

An OK episode of Dynamite with great wrestling as you’d expect, and a mixed bag as far as angles/promos are concerned.

If I were Tony Khan, I’d ban the use of insider terms in promos - Mercedes Mone. Along Renee a ‘mark’, The Bucks saying they’re being made to look like ‘jobbers’- maybe it’s grating on me more than it should, but both AEW and WWE are doing a lot of that kind of thing right now.

AEW has the worst referees in wrestling. I didn’t like the announcers saying ‘you can’t blame the referee’ for missing the fact Mark Briscoe’s foot was on the ropes - if you’re going to do that finish, at least have someone point out that the referee should have been alert to that, and if you want to have another announcer defend that and talk about how difficult a job it is in the heat of the moment, so be it. I enjoyed the match though, even if the Briscoe/MJF feud has been mediocre.

Don Callis is the worst character in AEW. Another overly long promo from him, that just made me want to see Kyle Fletcher less. It’s time for a break from the guy no one in his ‘family’ really needs him.

I really enjoyed Moxley/Bailey and I thought there was a legitimate chance they’d give Bailey the upset win. I’d not have complained if they had, although they’re maybe wanting to make Moxkey look dangerous to make Darby’s eventual win over him look more significant.

The tag match was also fantastic. I’m really unsure as to who wins this one, given that FTR are wrapped up in a feud already, while Brodido/Hurts would be face/face. My guess is that FTR interfere in the match between Stokely and Copeland, allowing him to interfere in their match against Brodido, but we’ll see.

While I totally agree, having "Max and Jeremy" for the Bucks on their entrance got a genuine cackle out of me, so maybe there should be exceptions.

I wouldn’t count that as an insider term, since it was what they went by during their ill-fated TNA run, so I’m not even sure an exception is needed here!

A really good show with just a couple of bits that the crowd didn't give a shit about, women's 4 way particularly, that took it down a level.

Solid mix of short-term TV feuds and matches with longer term goals for the PPV in both the main event and the opener that AEW always does at its best.

Hilarious promo from Stoke. FTR are great right now.

"Mark" and "Jobber" are absolutely fine in the context they were used. "Jobber" is such a common term now. I don't wanna see it all over but it was great here. Bucks downfall continues to be fantastic stuff. Credit to them, they always know when to lose too. Momentum is with Brody and Bandido. Love that finisher.

My small complaint would be the main event finish that Twoster mentioned. Bryce was looking at the floor on the last count to make sure he couldn't see the leg. It wasn't brilliantly done. Commentators should definitely have questioned it.

Yeah, I’ve been pretty critical of Stokely, but credit where it’s due, he was really good here.

there's a way to make that finish work, but they didn't manage it. Bryce's usual style with that kind of rope break is to notice after the fact, and then wave off the finish, so I expected the same thing here. He had to quite unnaturally turn to call for the bell to ensure that he "missed" the break - rather than take a moment to do a panto face, MJF should have just grabbed Briscoe's leg off the ropes during that split-second, and Bryce turned around and seen nothing, or seen enough to have doubt but not enough to call it.

Every Dynamite since All In has been solid but very unspectacular and this week's was no different.

Mox vs Speedball was an excellent match. Special mention to the brilliant camera work where it made it look like Mox teleported into the ring to poke Speedball in the eyes.

Disappointed how quickly Briscoe/MJF as a story deteriorated. That first segment before All In was such magic but it's just another textbook MJF feud now. I thought they were going to go the interesting route of MJF butting up against a white trash family man who is beloved by all and can't be gotten to by MJF's cheap heat tactics and seeing how that affects the lonely and deeply insecure Max. Unfortunately they've just gone with "MJF goes for low hanging fruit, Mark is mad now" boring as shit.

I'm excited for Cope vs Stoke. Stoke is terrible as a serious heel, his value is in goofball comedy. I want to see more wacky gaga like this (Willow answering Platinum Max's challenge is a minor dream match of mine). Not everything needs to be a big serious epic.

Mid episode.

6/10.

MJF is the most boring act in wrestling. He's actually hurting my enjoyment of AEW, so him main eventing already had me on a downer.

Nice Brodido upset and a strong match

Standard boring Don Callis/Kyle Fletcher promo.

Overall I thought the promo work in general was pretty poor, this week.

Woman's four way was ok at best.

Starting to think that they have no concrete plans for Statlander.

Mox/Speedball was decent.

I never knew you disliked MJF!
