Anyone thinking of going to Dyanmite/Collision in Glasgow? I got this via email today:

I used to live there, and I’m gutted that I moved further north as I’d bloody love to go. But it’s just too difficult to do that on a Wednesday, when I’m working the next day.

Given that they’re doing this in August, I wish they’d done something a bit different, and put on at least one of their shows at an Edinburgh Fringe venue. The capacity would be far smaller, but it would be a brilliantly unique experience for anyone in attendance or anyone watching.

I'm going but had to get tickets, train tickets and hotel a while ago so couldn't risk waiting for the inevitable discount! Never been to Glasgow in my life so this seemed like a good opportunity.

How long are you there for? If you need any recommendations for good places to eat/visit etc just let me know! I only moved away from the place last year, so my local knowledge is still relatively fresh.

If you have time, I’d absolutely recommend taking the train over to Edinburgh for a day at the Fringe.

Does anyone have the promo code for this? I’ve went onto the site but it’s asking for a promo code as the tickets are locked behind it. Thank you

Another enjoyable Dynamite, and I particularly liked the Edge/Stokely match - I thought that worked well, although I’m a bit disappointed that their first match on PPV is against Nick Wayne and Kip Sabian. It feels like there’s been more than enough build to justify making the PPV match E&C vs FTR. We’ll get there of course, but I feel like Wayne/Sabian should be, at best, a short TV match ahead of the big FTR match at Forbidden Door. I hope we don’t get a needlessly long feud between the teams as a result of this. Having said that, the angle was a lot of fun.

I didn’t really like the Hangman/MJF angle. As we’ve seen before, just saying you’re going to execute the contract isn’t enough - you have to physically sign it. With that in mind, MJF could easily backtrack on his promise. I hope he cashes in next week on Dynamite and wins the belt or something, otherwise they’ve broken their own rules. They could do the rematch at Forbidden Door, and make MJF lose in his first title defence.

Alex Windsor shouting her name was fun at first, but now she’s just a female Roderick Strong. She needs a bit more depth to her character.

I’m going to predict this now - Mercedes Mone/Toni Storm will both hold their titles until All In 2026, when they’ll have a rematch for the World title when Mercedes will win. Both women are killing it, and I think it would be madness to have Athena unseat Toni at this point.

I love Taz on commentary. He made me laugh out loud several times on this show, and he manages to balance the levity with some really good calls. He might be my favourite ever colour commentator.

Excellent episode of Dynamtie that took next week’s pay per view into overdrive. For the longest time, Forbidden Door was feeling like a bit of a Backlash to last month’s All In, but a handful of crazy graphic drops later and it feels supersonic now!

"You couldn't break me any more than you could break out of your Edgelord, B-level movie incel villain routine, you shit!"

Have I mentioned I quite like this Hangman Adam Page guy? Some serious potential. I think he’ll go far. Love how he has the ability to fast-forward past what’s always the worst part of any MJF feud and get to the gravy. He’s the best. And he’s gorgeous.

Great opening segment. Not only was it nice to see them finding a new way to use a Money in the Bank cash-in, having the babyface goad a heel into fighting honourably, but thankfully this means both contracts will be done and dusted in record time. The last thing they should be doing right now is crappy knock-offs of WWE concepts. If 2025 has proven anything, it’s that AEW succeeds best when they go their own route, focus on themselves, and let WWE do all the daft selling and counterprogramming.

Will Ospreay going from, “spine’s made of dust, I’m completely knackered,” to, “Lights Out Cage Match, lads?” in the space of three weeks. I love pro-wrestling. Our family car has been acting up recently, and combined with how much money we’ve spent on the kids over the Summer holidays, we decided to give Forbidden Door at the o2 a miss and just order it on FITE. I’d made my peace. Trust Tony to then drop a graphic this bonkers straight afterwards. Dammit, Tony!

Golden Lovers vs. The Young Bucks! Omega, Tanahashi and Ibushi on the same team! The perfect environment for Eddie Kingston to return and mash up Gabe Kidd! Plus, correct me if I’m wrong, but is this the first time in AEW history that Kenny Omega and Darby Allin are in the same match? I love it. AEW rules.

Interesting that they went with Lights Out Cage Match rather than a Blood and Guts match. Here’s hoping that they’re saving that stipulation for the teased Women’s Blood and Guts match. With the news that WWE are saving Brock vs. Cena to counter-program All Out, I’d genuinely consider doing the Women’s Blood and Guts match as that show’s headliner. What better way to compete with something as horrible as a man named in a Sex Trafficking lawsuit than to celebrate and showcase the very best of your female talent. Imagine Willow Nightingale in a Blood and Guts! Yes please!

The continued downward spiral of The Young Bucks continues to be a highlight of every show. Always clever, fun ideas, with them selling it spectacularly. A complete career turnaround. I loved them Superkicking Justin Roberts, meaning Tony Schiavone had to take over ring announcing duties, and Moxley having to find them in the jobber locker room was inspired. It’s almost a shame they’re in the Lights Out Cage Match because I’d fallen in love with the idea of them having to work the Buy In show in London. Imagine them throwing a fit and shoving Double J as they’re sent out without an entrance, as the panel are still running down the show!

Adam Copeland is an old goofball, completely out of touch with what makes modern pro-wrestling work, but they’ve finally found the right role for him. His daft, hammy nonsense worked with Stokely and there’s too much history and prestige in his reunion with Christian that even he can’t screw it up. Really great angle. Excited to see them tag together. You assume the FTR and Young Bucks matches are nailed on. Perhaps a Jurassic Express match, too? If I’m Copeland, I’m already petitioning for The Young Bucks vs. Edge and Christian to be his retirement match. No better option.

I saw an amazing stat that the last time Edge and Christian teamed on pay per view, Nick Wayne hadn’t been born. Amazing.

So yeah. Another good show that left me in a good mood. The hot streak continues. 2025 is arguably AEW’s best year ever. And I’m saying that before Brodido win those belts. It’s coming home!

Too much already going on at Forbidden Door for me.

A quick E&C vs Nick/Kip works for me, hopefully they won't make it a 20 minute back and forth, they should be done with them in 5 minutes.

E&C vs FTR in Canada at All Out is the right call.

That cage match at FD sounds mental, bit disappointed it isn't a Blood and Guts match to give everything more space to breath and work, but those 10 in one ring with a cage over it should be some clusterfuck!

Ah, I didn’t realise All Out was in Canada - I revise my opinion with that in mind, and I do agree with you.

So that last line…I really like Brodido, but I don’t want to see them win the belts, at least not yet - maybe they come close and miss out, before having a rematch at a later date. I want to see The Hurts vs E&C, The Hurts vs FTR, The Hurts vs The Bucks - there’s so much fun to be had from a lengthy Hurt Syndicate title reign. I’d be perfectly happy to see them hold the titles well into 2026, before they are finally unseated.

Really enjoyable episode again. Build to the PPV continues to be pretty strong and they're delivering plenty for the London crowd to get excited about.

I'd also have kept E&C apart until they face FTR. That is the catalyst for the comeback and should be the match.

The announcement of the lights out match was typical AEW stuff. No sign of the match, Ospreay comes back, he teases that he needs to pick his team, then drops Tanahashi, then they tease Mox picking his team, then we see him walking in on the Bucks, then BAM, graphic with everyone on it. Kidd, Omega and Ibushi not even been mentioned. All logical but a mess in deciding whether they were just dropping the graphic or having the guys reveal it.

So pleased that it's FTR vs. Bandido and Brody in Glasgow. Result.
