Feuds where the heel was in the right

As touched upon in the WWE Vault thread, I don't think any wrestler has ever been more justified in a heel turn than Sid in 92. Hulk Hogan constantly hogging the spotlight, then the absolute cheek of that sore loser arsehole costing Sid the Rumble match, before Jack Tunney completely overlooks Sid for a title shot at Mania and gifts it to Hogan instead. Then you've got the little moments like Sean Mooney asking Sid a question then completely ignoring him to speak to Hogan instead. It's no wonder Sid thought 'fuck you you orange prick'.

I'm sure there are loads of examples of this (Kevin Owens right now, you could make a case for Hangman against Swerve too) - who else do you have?

Heel turn Pro-Canada Bret was always in the right.

It's part of what made it so much better, there would be Americans that could see what he was saying was potentially correct and in turn would make them even madder with him.

The Sid/Hogan one is the closest to outright Hogan is a bitch because of how he acts the Rumble '92. Absolute shithouse behaviour, but everything that came after was circumstantial.

A brilliant wrestling myth for me is that Savage was in the right for The Mega Powers explode, when only one thing Hogan did (carrying off Liz in the tag match when she got mullered) would make some sense, though really it's the company at fault there, a woman just got crushed and you don't send any help out. Everything else was literally Savage being a fucking paranoid lunatic. What a great angle.

Even better were the Americans who actually sided with Bret, as it made them look like proper turncoats against a nation that is hugely patriotic. It all seemed so real and angry. Brilliant.

Bret vs the States is the best feud ever, as it also involved the rest of the world for once. We were all pretty much with Bret as well weren't we, so that made us all heels.

I often wonder if a lot of my mid and late teen 'Americans are evil, their foreign policies led to 9/11, I only read Chomsky and listen to Rage' years were a direct impact of Bret calling for Pittsburgh being given an enema and 12yo me lapping it up.

Roman Reigns surely if you blur some of the lines between real and wrestling. Although he was the golden boy in the eyes of the office and did everything right, living his blue eye lifestyle everyone booed the hell out of him. 

People like Cena called him out even though he did what was told. Beat everyone and was still not accepted by the fans. Even a few months after returning for a life threatening illness he's back to being rejected. 

In the end he has enough, fucks it all off for his own health and hooks up with Paul Heyman to find his way and come back as a heel wrecking machine. 

 

Another one that pops in my head was Molly Holly in 2002. Shunned down the pack to make way for models and those with bigger assets even though she'd been wrestling for years trying to make a name all while smilut reigns supreme. Returns in 02 preaching against it all as a morally right heel.

Knowing what we now know about daughter botherer Marty Jannetty, Shawn was right to throw him through the barbershop window. And he sold the wrong arm at their Rumble match. Useless berk.

I know he’s a prick now but the original Kane and Undertaker feud in 97/98. Undertaker burns down the funeral home killing his parents and almost killing his brother leaving him hideously scarred. Brother comes back and somehow Undertaker is the face.

That's after the heel turn though, not the reasons for his heel turn. Kevin Owens has been piledriving people trying to end careers since his turn, that's a bit naughty too but his reasons for the turn are still justified.
