Surely some or all of these are part of a roast, not a side dish?

That’s getting into the philosophy of what makes a roast dinner, the fundamentals, and what are the extras? Surely we have a forum for that? Anyone?

There definitely has been mass discussion on this, and I'm sure a thread as well, but as always the search function for this website is absolutely shit.

Extras are pigs in blankets and stuff like that. It's obviously not a roast without vegetables and Yorkshire pudding.

There haven’t been many contestants I haven’t liked. Even lesser ones like Iain Sterling had their moments. And people I otherwise cannot stand, like Russell Howard, Jenny Eclair, Noel Fielding and David Baddiel, were great on the show.
