I had never heard this absolute shit till sometime last week, whilst I was sitting in a waiting room at Walmart for my car service to finish. I honestly thought it was a joke.

I don't particularly like them but I don't mind that song. They're a good pop band, and I've never looked up the lyrics but I assume it's "oh no, nobody knows, gotta see a man about a petit coat"

There are worse bands and songs about.

I really like Frank Turners first 4/5 solo albums, there's some shite on there but for the most part they soundtracked my late teens and early 20s so I look back on them fondly.

Tried to listen to his more recent stuff over the past few days and it's dreadful. Especially the below, which seems to be his childish response to no longer being critically successful / not getting the big festival bookings he used to get;

At this rate, his next song will be 'you're offended? Well deal with it!'

The music itself makes a nice musical bed but the addition of the actual singing always made it more cack for me.

Last few albums have been crap. The production sounds rubbish. Stopped listening after Be More Kind. He did that terrible album where all the songs were about notable women in history, which bombed.

He does some good stuff, supporting grass roots venues. Does a charity in Sierra Leone to get them musical equipment. But he just comes across as a bit of try hard prat. I don't know if it's the punk rock ethos. But knowing he's a publicly admitted Tory and went to Eton school. (it was in a scholarship so doesn't count according to him)

He got quite a backlash when his mini festival he does ever year around different cities. This year he's doing it in Dallas. A lot were worried about getting into the country. Ironically Dallas is also near Austin where his new girlfriend is from. The one he got with whilst he was cheating on his wife. 

You're not too far off with "'you're offended? Well deal with it!'" line. When people found out he cheated on his wife. His Instagram comments where full of his upsets fans who believed his "be more kind" / "don't be a dick" ethos. Turner's response was basically it's my life I will do what I want. Noone got hurt. (ex wife probably thought differently) If you like my music, good. If not, not my problem.
