29 years ago Ted Crilly became a hero, and Dougal did a funeral. fo8PpM.gif.f74100e750d9146a9763171698c3ab1f.gif

I don't have many Christmas traditions, in fact, watching the A Christmassy Ted is the only one. Always a treat.

I’m going to be watching it tomorrow with my Christmas dinner leftovers. Still one of my favourite shows of all time. I only own a few dvds, trainspotting, the complete 24 box set, and the complete father ted collection.

I have just watched it on DVD, it is for me, like many a yearly tradition

Cannot believe it was first shown 29 years ago though! I can remember on Christmas Day going to round to my nana and granddad’s and my granddad still chuckling away about Jack being left in the crèche with all the kids shouting feck. Every time I have watched it since I am always transported back to that time and I probably always will be

Ran the gas off the electricity, and the electricity off the gas, and saved himself £200. What a hero.

All of that in the cupboard with Jack and Ted was improvised.

That's remarkable when you consider the material he got out of a bingo ticket book.

I love the seriousness to which he switches when he asks Ted where he got them from. Lovely little change of pace.
