Sphinx Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 Mesmerising. And one from Crumb - decent band. Quote
wordsfromlee Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 Quite a few of these videos seem like they're posted by thirsty divorced dads. I wouldn't be surprised if 'Dirrty' by Christina Aguilera is posted as an apparent 'great' music video. Quote

Paid Members Egg Shen Posted February 20, 2022 Paid Members Posted February 20, 2022 i'll make my way through the videoes in this thread, i do miss binge watching music videos. I'll add this one, its not that well known but its my favorite video of recent years: Lonely the Brave - The Blue, The Green. Crank that on with a pair of headphones on and its hard not to well up the end, the director did a great job of telling a story in 4 minutes. Great song, from a great album. Quote
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted February 20, 2022 Paid Members Posted February 20, 2022 (edited) Alternative Nation was the best place for finding quality videos back in the day. They were the ones that premiered Windowlicker, there's nothing like the first time you hear and see that. That was where I saw Rubber Johnny as well, which I always thought was the best Aphex / Cunningham video. Edited February 20, 2022 by Devon Malcolm Quote

I'm assuming there's nothing like either of those two on any of the music channels now, anybody know of anything online? Quote
Merzbow Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 I'd be surprised if The Quietus didn't do something like that, maybe the odd article on the years best music videos. If was a halfway decent writer I'd pitch it to them. Quote
Paid Members Surf Digby Posted February 20, 2022 Paid Members Posted February 20, 2022 Stumbling back to a mate's house after a night of heavy drinking, flopping down on the sofa, and turning on the TV, only to be met with the video for Come To Daddy. Ah, good (albeit somewhat terrifying) times. Quote
Keith Houchen Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 Only found out last month that Toni Basil directed this. Quote
