No I don't think so, it was probably just a poor seller and Ting isn't that popular. I don't think it's been stocked in Tesco that long, but it was always in Morrisons, so maybe they upped their distribution game. I looked it up and even the Fanta drink that took over the Lilt legacy has gone as well. I hope the Lilt ladies have a good pension. Quote
deathrey Posted Tuesday at 07:32 PM Posted Tuesday at 07:32 PM My sister is convinced the discontinuation of Lilt is some kind of racist conspiracy as it's mainly drunk by Black and Asian people (no data to back this up). We want our totally tropical taste back. Or at least some warning it was being discontinued so we could stock up, they promised it wasn't when it became Fanta. Liars It was going for crazy prices in eBay once we discovered you couldn't buy it anymore. Quote

deathrey Posted Tuesday at 07:40 PM Posted Tuesday at 07:40 PM (edited) My husband bought that this week but it has a weird aftertaste, I'm assuming because it's zero sugar, the aspartame etcs often leave a weird taste in the mouth. Apparently Sainsbury's do one too, luckily a Sainsbury has just opened in my little town so I'm going to see if they stock it. Edited Tuesday at 08:37 PM by deathrey Quote
Members SuperBacon Posted Tuesday at 08:04 PM Members Posted Tuesday at 08:04 PM Ting is clear of absolutely all of those. But I do quite like the Sainsburys one. Quote
deathrey Posted Tuesday at 08:37 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:37 PM Ting is good but missing the Pineapple Quote
Paid Members Jazzy G Posted Tuesday at 08:38 PM Paid Members Posted Tuesday at 08:38 PM I was more a Ka drinker myself. The grape flavour is nice, and Karibbean Kola. Just make sure you never abbreviate it... Quote

Paid Members Lion_of_the_Midlands Posted Tuesday at 09:32 PM Paid Members Posted Tuesday at 09:32 PM I miss Lilt, any grapefruit based drink really because I love the taste. You can't drink them if you take a slow release tablet of any sort because the grapefruit strips away the slow release part. Quote

The Kola's nice, but I'm just not bothered about colas in general. 6 minutes ago, Lion_of_the_Midlands said: I miss Lilt, any grapefruit based drink really because I love the taste. Not a soft drink, but I really like grapefruit IPAs - Magic Rock's High Wire Grapefruit is delicious, and perfect for summer. Quote

Paid Members BigJag Posted yesterday at 05:20 AM Paid Members Posted yesterday at 05:20 AM The demise of Lilt is sad. I have fond memories of it's compeititor, Quatro. Which was a very similar drink. Wikipedia tells me that it a version of it can still be found in South America. Quote
Paid Members TheBurningRed Posted yesterday at 05:45 AM Paid Members Posted yesterday at 05:45 AM Does anyone remember cans of pineapple and grapefruit Crush? I think you can only get bottles now in some places. Quote
