Bloody hell, Fury must realise he's at the end of his trolling days, so is dropping his 0 on a big freakshow payday.

What happened to Till? The guy is only 33 now, and for his last MMA fight he was still in his 20s (by a few days, but still). He only had a three fight losing streak, and it was against Bobby Whitaker, Derek Brunson and DDP. Not exactly some lower end bums. He was of worth to the company, especially as a headliner for UK shows. Just all strange when I think about it for any length of time.

Not a big fight announcement but ONE Strawweight champ Xiong Jingnan has signed with the UFC apparently…

I did see recently that ONE had binned off their Strawweight division and released her as a result. Can’t say I’ve seen much of her at all but I remember loving at least two of her three fights against Angela Lee. Don’t think I ever saw the third fight but Xiong won the trilogy 2-1 overall in the end. She’s 19-2 and on a five fight winning streak but she’s also 38 years old and hasn’t been very active in recent years. Don’t know if that’s down to her or if it’s the usual ONE bullshit like De Ridder complained about. Either way, despite her age, hopefully she can bring something to that 115 division. If she loses to Hill her first night in though, you can pretty much forget about her making any noise in the UFC.

Been pretty widely known this was in the works for weeks but it’s confirmed now…

You know what, fair play. For all my talk of the matchmakers trying to protect Paddy, those days are clearly over. Saint Denis isn’t a world beater but he’s definitely not the type of opponent you give to someone you’re trying to baby. This is a legit fight for Paddy and a risky one, especially coming off the Gaethje loss. I’ve got no complaints about this one.

Yeah, that's a belter of a fight, to be fair. Will be a great barometer of what level Paddy is at, too. I think BSD is still a level above him, so don't fancy Paddy's chances.

We’ll see if it actually happens but, yeah, the worst kept secret ever is out of the bag. Dana’s revealed the UFC 329 card for July and it’s official…

IMG-2624.jpg

Also confirmed for the card are Robert Whittaker’s debut at 205 vs Nikita Krylov, Gable Stevenson’s UFC debut vs Elisha Ellison and a sure-fire banger of Brandon Royval vs Lone’er Kavanagh. Obviously that’s on top of Paddy Pimblett vs Benoit Saint Denis and Cory Sandhagen vs Mario Bautista which were already announced.

Quite a lineup. Although it’s gonna be an all time hate watch for me if McGregor, Pimblett and Stevenson all actually end up fighting on that same night.

Still sceptical McGregor even makes it to the cage. Hope he doesn’t, to be honest. But if he does, at least we can take solace in the fact that Max is gonna fuck him up.

Oh and what convenient timing, Dana dropping this announcement while the Rousey vs Carano card is going on. Not sure if it’s accurate but I read that he made the announcement literally during Francis Ngannou’s walkout on Netflix.

Three absolute cunts on one card. They might as well have Tyson Fury debut in MMA the same night.

Funny to see him go on this reverse Revenge tour, giving everyone their win back. Dennis Siver and Jose Aldo currently rubbing their hands together.

I hate that I’ll watch it if he makes it into the cage, but I doubt he will.

I reckon they’ve put McGregor and Pimblett on the same card in the hope both win and they can make that fight. One of the few proper big fights they have.

Despite being rag dolled at 155 in his last fight, and this being an even higher 170, Max is still a 1/4 bookies favourite for this fight, which shows you how far McGregors stock has fallen.

Max is still an elite fighter, so purely from a professional point of view, you can't really criticise Conor for picking an easy fight to come back too. Pretty bold choice by him.
