Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted August 2 Paid Members Posted August 2 Brazilian MMA journalist Leo Guimaraes is reporting that Charles Oliveira vs Arman Tsarukyan 2 and Joshua Van vs Alexandre Pantoja 2 are going down at UFC 331 in LA in September. It’s not been confirmed by the UFC yet or Marcel Dorff, but this guy is pretty legit as a source from what I’ve seen. He reckons Oliveira vs Tsarukyan is gonna be five rounds but not for the BMF belt oddly enough. I like the fight a lot though. First one at UFC 300 was a close three rounder and the rematch now should determine a nailed on number one contender for Gaethje. Think Gaethje said he’s not gonna fight now until 2027 anyway so the timing could line up nicely for the winner to face him early next year. Guimaraes also said Kayla Harrison vs Amanda Nunes was being targeted for 331 at some point but it’s been pushed back again. Fuck me. That one feels cursed. Women’s MMA as a whole feels cursed at this point. Quote

All the rumours and reports were saying Tsarukyan vs Oliveira 2 was in the works. Not sure what happened there but my guess is maybe Allan Nascimento’s death is a big part of it. He was Charles’ teammate and I think they were close friends. I like this Ruffy fight but I’m already seeing people predict Ruffy smokes him in a round. It’s always possible but I think Tsarukyan ragdolls him myself. MMA fans have short memories. Was only a couple of fights ago Ruffy was getting schooled in the grappling and subbed by Benoit Saint Denis and BSD isn’t half the grappler Tsarukyan is. Wins over Fiziev and a completely washed up Chandler haven’t convinced me he’s fixed all his problems. The problem with this is, even if Tsarukyan wrecks him, Dana can probably still find a way to justify not giving Tsarukyan a title shot because Ruffy is only ranked #7 or #10 depending on which rankings you go by. Load of bollocks but you know it’s coming. Van vs Pantoja 2 is ace. In the short time the first fight lasted it looked like we were in for a great fight, hopefully we get that this time. Quote
