deathrey Posted August 18 Posted August 18 We are taking the kids to Alton Towers for the first time on the weekend. It's scheduled to be 19 degrees with some light drizzle, I was so pleased! If it full on rains I'm going to make the whole family wear those rain ponchos you get at theme parks. Quote

Rossman Posted September 1 Posted September 1 Lawn took a battering from the heat. No rain for 45 days here and didn't bother with the hosepipe as it wouldn't touch the sides. Two big thunderstorms on Thursday & Saturday, has woken up the roots and the grass started growing again. There's also a lot more moisture in the air in the mornings which is helping the soil. Gave it a cut and looks ok. Still quite a few patches of dead grass to sort out but thats all the fun. Quote
